We had a Deluxe Room in the New Wing. The view on the mountains here is fantastic. The hotel is located next to Sapa's main street with restautants and shops only a few footsteps away. Breakfast buffet is excellent, staff is very friendly and helpful, free luggage storage available and they arrange transport to Lao Cai for a good price....

Good, The hotel was ok. The only problem is that they make you pay 2 dollars if you want to have a shower after you checked out.

Roughly it is located at a strategic place, friendly staff and good service. But there might be a thing to take note that if you are staying in old wing rooms, please close your window which face to mountain as I experienced insects flying into my room. The insects seems like cockroach (I'm not sure as the size is smaller) and lot of 'big' mosquito too. However, they provide good service where the room service boy is very nice and helpful. He went to find aerosol to us and help us to kill of the insects, at last left the aerosol to us for just in case. Afterthat he asked someone to change our towel as the towel without our request (as the aerosol may stay on our towel).

This Hotel is good value for money and is well located but it lacks focus re customer service. From the very start of our stay the staff lapsed in that regard. We arrived early morning and we expected rooms to not be available. That was fine. After an all night train trip we were tired but prepared for that. When reception advised us to go into Breakfast we were delighted with the customer service. We were then harassed by staff members demanding we pay. We had always expected to pay but we did not expect that harassment given we were directed to go into the Breakfast roomby Reception. We expected a pleasant exchange re how we would like to charge what we had for breakfast, not to be chased around the room as we tried to get coffee. As it was I became so upset I couldn't eat. So was charged $6US for Coffee. This was not good enough. Other guests advised us it happened to them also.. When we got into the room we were greeted by a list of contents that we had to account for those contents or pay. This list of contents included curtains and other fittings. Good Customer service does not require your guests to check off every item in the room for fear of having tp pay a penalty if a curtain or other fitting is missing. This is bizarre. This Hotel misses the boat when it comes to customer service. There were quite a few other failures iincluding the completion of forms in triplicate to borrow an umbrella. What a pity for such a lovely place. Customer Service is an art and "the

Victoria sure knows how to run a resort / hotel. The ambience was good and staff friendly. My room was located next to the staircase though, so it gets a little noisy when residents walk down the stai...
