Vinpearl Resort & Spa (Sofitel Vinpearl Resort)

"Vinpearl is a fantastic place to stay if you want to get away from it all. After a 10 minute boat ride and a 5 minute bus ride you arrive from the mainland at Vinpearl. When we first arrived we walked into the reception area with cheesy Christmas decorations and were seated with a welcome drink. The customer service at Vinpearl is fantastic nothing is too much trouble for the staff to do. The swimming pool and the facilities at Vinpearl are fantastic. Vinpearl is a great place to stay only if you want to get away from it all as the trip to the main land becomes a bit of a pain if your going back and forth."

"We had a great time at the Vinpearl! It's an excellent choice for families with (young) children as the resort's location (on an island) shields you from the "raw edge" of Vietnam. Staff is the most friendly and helpful I have ever encountered during a holiday, the price/quality of the rooms (we had a Deluxe Suite) is among the best. Our daughter (and we also) enjoyed the waterpark and amusement park a lot - you just pay 30USD per person (21USD for children) and you can go there as often as you want during your stay. The pools are huge and clean. There never is a shortage for sunbeds and due to the huge size of the main pool, there never is a feeling of crowdiness. The sea is excellent, although wind picks up in the afternoon and this can lead to a choppy sea. Transport to the mainland is either by cable car (free if you have this pass to access the amusement park) or by speedboat (free for hotel guests)."
