Nha Trang Introduction

The tranquil city of Nha Trang has been a well known travel destination for many years. The city is overflowing with pristine beaches and crystal clear waters and stunning natural beauty. The spectacular Nha Trang Bay is noted as one of the 29 most beautiful bays in the word as it has pristine white sand beaches, stunning islands and a lovely fishing village. The bay offers fantastic diving and snorkelling opportunities with stunning caves and areas that are overflowing with flora and fauna. Another interesting attraction is the Long Son Pagoda. This architectural wonders is celebrated for the giant white Buddha statue that is located on the hillside of Nha Trang. The city has a wide selection of restaurants that serve local Vietnamese cuisine and international favourites. A unique treat is the famed bird’s nest soup or you can have your fill of the freshest seafood imaginable. There is also a plethora of accommodation on offer including luxury hotels and family friendly lodgings.

Located in the Khanh Hoa Province of Vietnam, Nha Trang is a coastal town with 10kms of beach and an average daily temperature of 26°C. With a population of around 300,000, Nha Trang retains a small town ambience and its inhabitants are genuinely friendly and welcoming of the increasing numbers of tourists arriving there for holidays and short trips.

Perhaps not an ideal family destination, Nha Trang offers only a small selection of activities suitable for children. The Vinpearl amusement and water parks at the Sofitel resort, are the highlight and probably good for at least a full day if not two days of entertainment. The natural attractions of the town’s beaches are of course, also popular with the kids.
