Duy Tan Hotel is a homey property close to everything Hue has to offer—particularly the spacious, stately, imperial-Chinese-inspired Citadel—at a great price. In 2004 the Duy Tan was renovated. From the hotel it’s easy to get a professional cyclo or motorcycle ride to destinations farther afield.

The room is spacious. Bed is of quality standard. It comes with a quilt which I am very happy that with that price you can get the standard of a 3 star hotel....

perfect location, room is big and clean, bed is hard and comfortable, staffs are friendly. the only thing is too many travel group stay there and the breakfast is arranged only from 6:30 to 8:30. So the morning breakfast looks like a rush. Food selection are poor, and the environment is not enjoyable.

This hotel is mainly used as a wedding/conference venue. The staff are motivated to supplying service to weddings & groups. Individual guests are literally left out in the cold. On our first evening in the hotel it was raining. We didn't wish to dine out. When we sought a restaurant within the hotel they were all being used for functions. It was suggested that we eat at the outdoor cafe. When I said "it is raining" the receptionist said "Yes, it is" It wasn't until we got angry that a table was set up indoors for us. During breakfast the staff are more intent on eating than assisting guests. The rooms are beautiful but it takes more than bricks & morter to make a good hotel. It would be OK if only staying for a night.

This hotel was good for its price. Our part of the hotel did not have an elevator. It is centrally located, clean and decent.

Hotel appeared to be undergoing refurbishments which involved loud banging. Breakfast buffet was horrible. Staff were only helpful when trying to get you to go on a tour.

I was quite pleased overall with this hotel stay and would recommend it to others. However, as with other hotels I stayed in recently, I found that breakfast service in the restaurant was stopped far too early (8:30 or 9:00 a.m. in each place---not reasonable for tourists wanting to catch up on some sleep while travelling so much!). Breakfast should be served in a hotel restaurant until at least 10:00 or 10:30 a.m.

Room was good in the 6th Floor section. Location is good close to the river and the Citadel on the opposite bank
