We have stayed at the Hoi An Pacific Hotel twice now, once in late 2007 and then again in January 2009. This time around we were not as fortunate as the first time with the room we were allocated - it was a smaller room overlooking the street (and therefore we endured a little street noise) rather than a large room adjacent to the pool, but that's a small criticism and overall our stay was still very enjoyable.The best thing about the Hoi An Pacific in our view has been the helpful attitude of the staff. We have stayed at the Hoi An Pacific Hotel twice now, once in late 2007 and then again in January 2009. This time around we were not as fortunate as the first time with the room we were allocated - it was a smaller room overlooking the street (and therefore we endured a little street noise) rather than a large room adjacent to the pool, but that's a small criticism and overall our stay was still very enjoyable.The best thing about the Hoi An Pacific in our view has been the helpful attitude of the staff. Collectively, they have a great service ethic and strive to be as professional and cheery as possible and do make you feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble.Rooms are clean and well-kept, bathrooms are spotless and the buffet breakfasts are excellent. The hotel is a little way out of the centre of town, but it operates a shuttle bus that drops you close enough to the historic waterfront area if you are willing to fit in with the timetable. If not, taxis are still a cheap option.We stayed mostly in three-star accommodation throughout Vietnam, while the Hoi An Pacific is a four-star establishment. You do get a bit more out of it as a result, but it is nevertheless quite reasonably priced in comparison. We have no problems recommending it.
