Great place to stay. The karaoke bar - others complained about - does not exist anymore. Large, very tastefully decorated and clean rooms, great breakfast, and very friendly staff....

We booked a suite but were given a small to average size room. Had to pay $2 to use the hotel computer. Good location, close to all the shops and restaurants.

The hotel must do something about getting rid of the very noisy night club that starts up at 9.00 pm each night and continues till 2.00 am. We had to move three times in order to escape the noise that thundered through the whole building. When we were eventually put on the 13th floor (at an extra cost to us which I thought was incredibly rude) there was still a booming that could be heard in the room. There was NO mention at all about the noise problem on the website otherwise we would have selected another hotel. The hotel is good but the noise that patrons have to put up with is terrible. I will never stay at that hotel again and will advise my friends to avoid it too. My wife works for a big travel agency in Perth and she will advise her clients and workmates about staying away from the Palace Hotel. I spoke to some of the staff in the hotel and many of them are fed up with the noise pollution they have to put up with. In fact one of the reception staff showed me the resignation letter she had written. So something needs to be done urgently.

I was given a suit on the 4th floor above the night club. The heavy music starts from 9pm till 1.30am in the morning. I raised my concern to the front desk but the answer I get was they can't help cos my travel agent was aware that the room would be noisy.I check out after 2 nights of stay but came back after 3 days as I have already paid for another booking through internet earlier. It was after much negotiation and paying a higher price, they offer me a superior room.I reported leaking air-con but nothing was done.I send in some dirty laundry and when checking out,I realise that they over charged on the laundry service and when confronted, they told me that 2 pcs out of the 8 pcs send to the laundry was dry cleaned without my knowledge. The worst things was after expalining, they show us a victory attitude instead of offering their apology for not informing us in advance. This is my 2nd visit to Saigon and I put up at the same hotel as I receive good service during my last visit. This time round,I would rate their service as "SUCK" and I swear I will never ever go back to them anymore.

Asked for a high floor and double bed, got low floor and 2 single beds. Rooms were run down and tired looking. The disco keeps you awake until 1am then the building works start up at 7 in the morning. It was cheap, but then again, you get what you paid for. Only thing it had going for it was its location. I would say, spend the few extra $$'s and stay around the corner at one of the more well respected hotels. Tired looking room. No double bed as asked. No high floor as asked. Excessive noise from disco till all hours. Then woken up early with building works. Had one restaurant. Guest desk was never attended. no bar, and only restaurant was not actually part of hotel. Disco until 1am. I should have used the disco, it kept me awake every night. Very central location to just about everything. A million taxis and 10 million guys on bikes at the front door ready to take you anywhere.

Hotel under renovation. Room are all old room at lower floors. As the disco is at 1st floor, hotel guests are not expected to sleep until 1-2am. Definitely not for business traveler unless you check in on higher floors.

This hotel is generally good interm of the location, service, cleanness and food. But the noise level is a bit too high due to the hotel located on the buzy street. If i will come back to HCM, i will stay again in this hotel.

This is a great place for the budget minded. You do get value for money & the location was just perfect. The hotel at the time was going through a refurbishment so a few of the facilities were closed, I would not hesitate to return especially with the refurbishments finished I can only think it would be even better to stay there.

Staff in this hotel was good, friendly and nice. Tour desk service was good, friendly and nice. Staff in restuarant was friendly. The hotel room, hotel environment and restuarant were clean. Hotel location is very good. Close to lots of tourist attraction, shops, supermarket and market. Mostly within walking distance. Food in hotel restuarant at 14th floor was good, and reasonable cheap for us plus good view of HCMC district 1. Swimming pool at 16th floor little bit small but good enough. Good location for afternoon rest. Very easy to get taxi, right at the front of hotel. Tour desk assistance very friendly and helpful. Recommended to stay in this hotel.

Generally, the hotel is conveniently located. Breakfast is good for a three star hotel. The room is clean though just a little bit old, but we stayed in the standard ROH room, hence it is smaller in size compared to the deluxe rooms. Our room was facing the road, but noise level was alright and didn't get any disturbance. The newly renovated swimming pool at the top level has very good view.

I am impressed with the extra mile the Front Desk Manager went to help me translate a conversation with a local. Would be good if they can match our online request to the room that's assigned. Overall, I must say this hotel is good value for money and very centrally located.

The hotel is in an excellent location - right in the heart of the city with easy access to everything. The bedroom was generously sized but the bathroom was very small. Both were spotlessly clean. There was no view from the bedroom window. We did not use the business centre but it looked quite good, and we did not check out the fitness centre. The one disappointment was that the swimming pool was closed as the top two floors were being renovated. We had booked partly on the basis of the swimming pool and were not informed at time of booking the pool was not available for use.

Rooms were very spacious. Although they were booked for double occupancy they could take in triple sharing with ample space to be shared. Thumb up for room clealiness and basic amenities. I'll return to Palace Hotel in my future visit to Ho Chi Min City.

We complain about some construction noises heard from our room, they immediately change our deluxe room to a much more bigger deluxe room and we feel most comfortable. This makes our stay in Ho Chin Minh city a very pleasnt and memorable trip. The cappucino coffee at the coffee lounge was excellent. We had it 3 nights in a row. We hope to stay in the sam,e hotel and room (313) the next time we visit this city. Being Muslims we find the hotel, a walking distance to the 4 Seasons Restaurant that serves Muslim food and the mosque next to Sheraton hotel. We find it also a walkable distance to the famous Ben Thian Market. The hotel is a nice standard hotel and very affordable, value for money.
