The only downside of the hotel is that it is in the middle of tourist-central, so you see a lot of visitors and don't get a great sense of the rest of the city. But, if you make plans to see other parts of the city, you'll be fine. Also -- we were at the Kimdo during Tet and it could not have been more centrally located - we were right in the middle of the main festivities - and the hotel even threw a party for guests.
