The room got revamped and spacious. However, the toilet is a bit cramp and smells a little. Great location and friendly staff. Definitely value for money. But I am not sure why the TV switched on by itself middle of the night.

I have stayed in the area of Dong Khoi Street already several times, but not in this hotel before. Location is absolutely great. I chose an upgraded room towards the street, but the busy moped traffic on the street didn't steal my good night sleep. Breakfast buffet was sufficient and staff (reception, restaurant, housekeeping, bell boys) were always smiling and helpful. Good value for money.

Hotel is a little too old got that district. Should look into upgrade. Room does not have complimentary tea or coffee or tissue papers. However is excellent location and good for budget stayer.

Noisy - double glazing is needed to combat the traffic noise. I would have preferred a no smoking room.

Some tips: 1) Take the offer of the hotel for airport transfers. You will get a better deal than hailing a cab outside the airport. If we booked the airport transfer from the hotel, we should have just spent USD 8 instead of the outrageous price we paid. 2) Bring a laptop or a mobile phone which can let you surf the Internet. The hotel offers free wifi. 3) The hotel is really near a lot of shops and tourist spots so be ready to walk. 4) The hotel staff is really friendly and accommodating.They patiently drew on the map their recommended routes for our walking tours.They also gave us masks for our use in the airport.

The standard room in which we stayed in was clean and not too small but the mattresses were extremely hard and uncomfortable. We could not sleep properly and did not get to rest well throughout our whole trip there. The breakfast spread was minimal. Location of hotel was in a more "upmarket" area but was within walking distance to market and the Backpacker's lane, Pham Ngu Lao, (about 15 minutes).

This is a great hotel at a great location. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a nice view at the street. A very busy street and the traffic-sounds are loud. At the time - november 2008 - its not a place to take an afternoon-nap because of constructionworks opposite this hotel. Ideal was the location, everything was at walking distance, no need to get into a taxi-hassle. The staff was more then kind and friendly, the breakfast was good, everymorning a Vietnam-newspaper delivered at the room, so a great place to stay.

I'd stay again. Great location good food and beverages and a friendly staff. The rooftop pool was a bit small but then you wouldn' be staying at this hotel if you were on that type of vacation. The rooms were sufficient and very clean. Best asset- Location location location...

Nice location and impressive appearance/decor. Our only complaint is that the ceiling above the shower in our room was leaking and had a brown residue on it. We reported it and were moved to another room - lucky we checked it out before moving though, because that room had the same problem! They were kind and finally moved us to a room that was the same as our original (minus the problems) after a couple of tries. The buffet had a lot of options and was really good. In general, the rooms were clean and large. We loved the location of this hotel above all and would recommend it to our friends, even despite our minor snafu.

For a leisure stay to look around at the city, the hotel provides the basic services and facilities. Good value for money.

The hotel is located in the middle of Dong Khoi Street, makes it right in the center of the HCMC. So, accessbility wise, it's close to almost everything. if you like walking (like i do), it's 20 minutes walk to the Ben Thanh Markets, 5 minutes walk to the opera house, and it's surrounded by good restaurants. I will say the service of the hotel is good, but not great, staff is friendly, and the breakfast is excellent! and Huong Sen hotel has balcony is a great place for a drink, with great view. So, big thumbs up from me, for a 3 stars hotel. I will definitely consider staying here again if i go HCMC again.

The front desk staff were not very informative with regards to various restaurants within the Saigon area. The housekeeping staff were excellent and more than willing to do whatever they could to improve your stay. The actual rooms were a little dreary and needed to be updated. The free breakfast was okay unless you arrived late and then you might get pork and beans..literally!

We have stayed in this hotel for a few times. Still enjoyed the roof bar and the location, quietness of the room. If there's anything could be better - would suggest to change the blanket cover to a real quilt.

Good location, friendly and efficient staff. Room was OK, beds and pillows are comfortable. Bathroom was very ordinary. Shower and water supply to shower was not in keeping with the rest of the room.

We found this hotel perfect for our stay, itis in the main shopping area of Ho Chi Minh city, close to shops, market and not too far from the airport. The staff are friendly and courteous, and the room was clean. The pool is located on the 8th floor on top of the building and is lovely.

The location was excellent as Huong Sen was in the centre of the main shopping area. It was noisy because the room was overlooking the main street. Toiletries provided in the deluxe room can be improved - pl s provide a box of tissues. We can do without the bathrobe!

Peaple at the desk were very unfriendly. They were very incompetent, if you ask them anything about their city they didn't know- how useful if you are working in the tourist industry?? Breakfast very small and poor. Hardly anything sometimes. Certain promises that were made regarding the room weren't kept.

My room is very quiet - because no balcony. 1 us dollar gives you a taxi ride to anywhere in the city centre. Taxi always available at the front door.

The hotel provide good value for money accomodation for leisure/ holiday travellers. The breakfast and the general cleanliness is good. However, the cable TV service is not up to standard. There is many station which is supposed to be available but not available. I am a great football fan, and I wanted to watch the FA Cup final over Stars Sport, but the technician just cannot get it on. I was very disappointed!!

The hotel's facilities such as bar, night club, sauna etc were all closed for renovation. Had I known at the time of booking I might have chosen an alternative hotel.

Helpfull staff. Rooms are on a noisy street. Simple breakfast To strict to have visitors in your room, was not allowed. That is sometimes unpleasant for business and pleasure.

It was a surprisingly large room for just a standard room. Hotel staff was very polite and effiecient. For the money spent it was an excellent hotel. It is located in the center of the city; with walking distance to numerous shops, resturant and bars. I would recommend this hotel to anyone
