Rated #6 for all Ho Chi Minh hotels
The hotel is in an excellent location - well within the places of interest and of course, the shopping belt. You can get to the famous Ben Thanh market within 20 minutes by walking whereby a huge selection of cheap bargain items ranging from clothes, shoes, handicraft, food, toys etc are available for all and in the midst of it all the top of the range boutiques are just round the corner (the likes of Loius Vuitton, Tods, Chanel, Burberry etc). Great place for the family as well as business travellers....

This hotel is excellent with a perfect location. My room was perfect (number 1605) with a great view on the river.Hotel Travel .com rate are great, I was compelled to stay two extra nights at the Caravelle at their rate, beleive me there is quiet a difference with your rate. The only hick-up is the numerous Moto-Bike working in front of the hotel trying to get customer , what rip-off. If you need transportation avoid these jokers just use the regular taxi easy to find and well identified.

A well managed first class operation in every way. Staff is well trained to take care of you. Highly reccommend the dinner buffet. Prices overall (food, laundry, etc) a bit on the high side for a country this poor, but you will not be disappointed.

Excellent position in central Saigon. Roof top bar, Saigon Saigon, is definately the best place in town to meet, be entertained and enjoy great views! Concierge very helpful in locating great nearby places to eat.

The Caravelle is in an excellent location in District 1, near shops, cafe's etc. Walking distance to Ben Than market. I highly recommend the "lounge bar" for a mid afternoon or pre-dinner drink - a great place to watch the comings and goings from comfy sofas.

The staff at the hotel were outstanding. This was my second stay at the Caravelle, the first being for work, the second for pleasure - both times I could not fault the helpful and professional staff. The ground floor restaurant was wonderful for breakfast and lunch and we enjoyed it on many occassions. We went to the gym area for reflexology/massage and both agreed that this area of the hotel was overdue for refurbishment. We would stay at the Caravelle again as it was very good value for money and also as the staff were outstanding.

I have been living in Vietnam for nearly 8 years and have tried many hotels both in the North and the South. I always enjoy the opportunity to stay at the Caravelle Hotel, where I know the service is good, the buffet dinner always a pleasurable experience and the ambience and music of the Saigon Saigon Bar a place to go for that much needed cocktail when it is time to chill out.

The room service was not to par. The staff was not able to speak English and they had enter the room without knocking when we were still inside.

The room was nice but not outstanding. Clean and confortable. Used the business center, pool, and gym. All were good but not overly impressive. Located on a major street with lots of people, cars, and night life. A bit noisy and congested. While this is a very nice hotel, the prices are a little high compared to surrounding hotels. Paying for the atmosphere.
