This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The hotel is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but we later found out that it is known around the city to be a 2 star hotel posing as a 4 star. The place smelled of mildew, the staff was not friendly and tried to charge us extra for "too much luggage". When we asked them about the smell in our room they refused to move us and sprayed air freshener all over the carpets. The worst part was the sheets were disgusting and all 6 of us traveling together (in 3 separate rooms) ended up buying silk sleeping bags because we could not stand the slimy texture of the sheets. After 2 days we ended up leaving and finding a 2 star hotel in the city center that ended up being the better of the two hotels (and was 40 USD a night cheaper).
The hotel is a 30 minute car trip from all the action (which basically added insult to injury).
Do not book here, it is a scam of a hotel.
Buddha's Birthday is celebrated all over the Buddhist world, including in Vietnam, on the 15th day of the fourth lunar month. Ho Chi Minh City is one of the best places to be on the Buddha's Birthday to witness the love and devotion expressed on this day.
