This is a very good choice for a middle-class hotel. It is conveniently located, close to the central market and on the town lake. Staff are helpful and the food was very good. What I did not like is the omnipresent Christmas music, which seems to be the fashion in Vietnam nowadays everywhere, although we are still 3 weeks from Christmas. Even though Dalat has a fairly high rate of Christians, it seems they do this for the tourists. Some might like that, but I think most would prefer a more authentic Asian atmosphere, rather than being drawned in home-away-from-home Christmas parafernalia. Ove...

This is a very good choice for a middle-class hotel. It is conveniently located, close to the central market and on the town lake. Staff are helpful and the food was very good. Overall I would gladly recommend the Empress Hotel for anybody going to Dalat.
