Tampa is a popular tourist city on the western coast of Florida, known for its laid back atmosphere, its fine weather and its popular spread of attractions. Tampa is not far from Orlando, yet has more diverse attractions such as the brilliant Busch Gardens theme park, an amazing aquarium, and good shopping and nightlife.

Like any major destination in Florida, Tampa has more than its fair share of outdoor and children’s attractions. There are theme parks and rides galore as well as interactive museums, an excellent zoo, and entertaining shopping areas. Bayshore Boulevard allows for fine walks and riding, and there are also some excellent golf courses here.

Tampa International Airport is the gateway to the west coast of Florida and is a major facility, receiving flights from all over the US with the likes of American Airlines, Continental Airlines and Delta Air Lines, as well as from Europe with British Airways and KLM. Facilities at the airport are good, with ATMs, currency exchange and duty-free.
