I just have one thing that they fell back on, I had requested a smoking room and was given a non-smoking room. But everything else was great.

Well, the hotel had good reviews, but it was a bit dissapointing for me. I booked a stay with my family, getting a room with 2 double beds. Well, the location is unbeatable - it's practically right across Fisherman's Wharf.
Aside from that, the hotel was very basic. The room was clean enough, but very small. We got a room without a view, we had one of the parking lot. Not a big deal, since we didn't book a room with a view.
The hotel itself is dated, the elevator and carpets in the hall very worn. The room we had did have a refrigerator, which was nice since we had two small kids with us. It would have been nice if there was a microwave in the room, but not a big deal.
I guess the bottom line for me, is that it just wasn't anything special at all. Very basic and small - you get what you pay for, and certainly nothing more. A place to sleep, but nothing to write home about.
