Since 1971, when Walt Disney World opened, Orlando has developed into one of the world's top holiday destinations. More than 44 million visitors, domestic and international, make their way to this area annually to experience its seemingly endless array of diverse and unique attractions.
Walt Disney World is king of the theme parks, but there are certainly plenty of other attractions that will keep children entertained for days on end.

Annual Capital One Bowl: this New Year’s Day classic, an annual event for over 60 years, is now held at the Florida Citrus Bowl and showcases the clash between two football titans.
Zora Neale Hurston Festival of the Arts and Humanities: draws more than 100,000 visitors each year. It is an African-American festival celebrating the visual arts, R&B and gospel music as well as award-winning poetry and modern dance.
Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld are at the top of the list of things for tourists to see in Orlando and are most likely the reason for your visit as well. However, there are wonderful hiking trail, swimming and boating activities, wonderful golf courses and a really friendly atmosphere.

Orlando International Airport is the main facility for the area and is centrally located as well as being easily accessible from all major cities and tourist locations in Florida. Many domestic and international carriers service Orlando International Airport including airlines from the UK, Europe and Asia. There’s also a sizable selection of hotels located near the airport, many of which cater to business travellers and feature amenities such as meeting and conference space, business centres and 24 hour airport shuttles. Orlando airport is spacious and bright and quite easy to navigate, with a variety of restaurants and specialty shops. The major theme parks all have gift shops at the airport.
