The city of Nashville is synonymous with country music and this is certainly what the city is traditionally most famous for. It was in 1925 when the famous ‘Grand Ole Opry’ first aired with weekly shows from downtown Nashville, thus starting the city’s country music scene.

Nashville Auto Fest: Taking place at the Tennessee State Fairground every January, the Nashville Auto fest has a number of car related activities including a car show and car corral with cash prizes for show car winners.

Nashville International Airport is a single terminal airport situated eight miles south east of the city. The airport is served by 11 airlines with over 400 flights daily and it is a transport hub for Southwest Airlines. There are four concourses (A-D) although only A-C are in use at present. Southwest Airlines, who operate a number of routes from Nashville, are based at concourse C.
