Airports

Southwest Florida International Airport is the main gateway to Naples for international visitors. It is the main airport for nearby Fort Myers (north) and the drive to Naples is straightforward. The airport receives flights from all over the USA and limited overseas connections, while other options include Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Miami airports.

The quickest way to Naples from Southwest Florida International Airport is by taxi or hire car. Major car rental firms are represented at all airports in the region. Another method is to fly into Naples Municipal Airport, which receives flights from Miami, Orlando and Tampa airports.

Public Transport

The Naples Trolley is the only public transport option in Naples but it is useful. It stops at more than two dozen destinations between the Naples Trolley General Store on Sixth Avenue South, via 10th Street South (for Tin City and Old Naples) and continues all the way to Vanderbilt Beach. The trolley runs every day except for Sunday and commentary is provided.

For a complete tour of Naples, simply stay on the Naples Trolley which completes a loop in two hours. More convenient travel around Naples is provided by taxi and there are several reputable taxi firms in town, including Yellow Cab, while car hire is a must for those wanting to have a proper look around and see the Everglades. Cycling is a more leisurely option for getting around Naples.

Naples Trolley Pass: daily, two-day and monthly passes can be had at adult and child rates for the Naples Trolley, which allows the user to hop and off at their own pace.
