On booking the hotel i felt it would be a very nice hotel to stay in, however on arriving and handing over my printed out booking form the hotel receptionist advised that unfortunately they only had a smoking room with two double beds, i advised that i had requested a non-smoking room this comment seemed to be ignored. I advised one bed in the room was fine and we would go with that he then advised yes he had a smoking room available, i again reminded him that i had booked a non smoking room and he advised that "my travel agent" had asked for a smoking room and the only room available was a handicapped smoking room but it was really no different to any of the other rooms apart from the shower and the height of sink etc. We took the keys and went off to the room, immediately upon entering the room the smell of stale smoke hit us, it was awful! there were cigerette burn holes in the curtains aswell. I immediately went back to reception and asked to be moved but was told there was absolutely no other rooms available whatsoever. She told me to possibly come back and tell them that i really couldnt stay there and they might be able to do something i asked her what the difference between now and then, she just said thats all she could do! I went back to room quite downhearted. I went to concierge to book a tour and i have to say she was extremely lovely and very very helpful. When i was finished there the first receptionist who had spoke with us asked us if we were being attended
