
Gator Bowl: is played on the first of the month at the ALLTEL Stadium and is an event in which college football teams assemble to compete for the prestigious Gator title in what is without doubt one of the calendar’s most exciting American Football events.

Kuumba Fest: is an annual event during which the city acknowledges and pays tribute to its African-American culture, history and heritage. The event sees parades, live music, food and other attractions. Dates vary for this event.

The Gate River Run: held annually, is an event where runners take on a 15km race for which the main winners get to share in a prize fund totalling $58,000. The general public line the streets along the route to offer their support to the competitors. This event is held during the second week of the March.

Jacksonville Jazz Festival: is an event dedicated to all things relevant to one of the world’s most popular musical genes. The festival presents a variety of forms of entertainment with live musical performances from both local and national jazz musicians as well as stalls and food and drink. The event is held at the end of the first week of the month.

Jacksonville Beer and Food Festival: lovers of fine ale in all its various forms should certainly not miss this annual event in which more than 130 different beers, some American and many of international origin, are available for sampling. To help the beer go down, some of the city’s best restaurants cook up some mouth watering creations. Dates vary for this event.

Folio Weekly Beer and Music Festival: beer lovers are once again treated to the opportunity to indulge their passion in this annual event in which more than 125 different beers are available for sampling. Free food and live entertainment are also provided. The event is held for the duration of the month.

Riverside Arts Festival: is a two-day event conducted in the Avonale Historic District and sees artists from Jacksonville and beyond assemble to display and talk about their works. Performance art exhibitions are also an integral part of the event. Dates vary for this event

Southern Women's Show: women from all over the state assemble for a distinctly female orientated event during which talks and discussions are held on issues relating to the improvement of women’s lives. Exhibition stands offer salon makeovers, spa treatments and hair styling as well as other female indulgences. The event is held at the end of the third week of the month.

Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair: held at the Fairgrounds Place, this annual event sees the city’s residents come together in celebration of their heritage and culture. Live musical performances from genres such as rock, blues and country frequently top the event’s schedule. The event is held in the first two weeks of the month.

St Johns County Festival of Trees: is an event which marks the lead up to the Christmas season and sees many of the city’s trees gradually dressed with stunning decorations which help create a true festive ambience. Starts in the first week of the month and runs for 18 days.
