
Although Daytona Beach has its own international airport, Daytona Beach International Airport. It is fairly small and receives limited overseas flights. If you do manage to get a flight here, however, the airport is well equipped with ATMs, money changers, duty-free shopping and restaurants. Most visitors fly to nearby Orlando-Sanford International Airport which is well within reach of Daytona and receives flights from all over the world.
From Daytona Airport, VOTRAN buses serve the city every 30 minutes while hotel shuttles and taxis are always on hand. Those who hire cars while here, which is particularly recommended in Daytona Beach, simply take Highway 92 along International Speedway Boulevard to downtown Daytona; Interstate-4 from Orlando.
The best way to get about Daytona Beach is by car and it was built for it, although those on foot can make use of the VOTRAN public bus service, which serves downtown and the beaches. VOTRAN also runs a free shuttle along Main Street Pier and Ocean Walk Village as well as a pay trolley along Atlantic Avenue. One-day Votran bus passes can be had.

Beach Street and South Atlantic Avenue both face the water and are popular with cyclists while getting about by motorbike and motorbike hire is also popular. Getting around Daytona by car is the way to go, though, with wide roads, interstate highways coming in from all directions, and the driving on Daytona Beach. Beware heavy traffic during major Daytona events.
