Rated #12 for all Istanbul hotels
charming hotel, friendly personal, excellent location, delicious food, and amazing views from the roof terrace. Don't spend time on nearby restourants - the hotel's sheff is better....

Really close to the sites. A relaxed haven with a fantastic rooftop restaurant, where breakfasts were a joy. I will recommend to my friends.

though the hotel was good in general, it was seriousely overprice for the value offered. staff was more interested in securing cross sell businss of lousy tours then helping you out with querries.

My husband and I had been travelling around Turkey, and wanted our last 2 nights to be in a memorable hotel.
We chose the Sultanhan Hotel, and we could not have chosen better.
The Reception/Lobby area is amazing, with traditional Turkish carpets and furnishings.
The rooms were a generous size, immaculate, and also traditionally furnished. I am quite fussy when it comes to cleanliness, but the room and bathroom were spotless, and were kept that way during our stay.
It was in a quiet street, yet within walking distance to all the main attractions.
We only had breakfast, which was basic, but adequate. You don't get Western breakfasts unless in a Western Hotel, so we are not complaining.
We initially thought that the price was a bit high for a 4 star hotel, but after staying there we both agreed that it was worth every cent (Lira).
For anyone looking for a special place to stay in Istanbul, we would certainly recommend the Sultanhan Hotel. We loved everything about it, and would definitely stay there again if ever we were in Istanbul.
