Rocky’s Boutique Resort offers beachside bungalows and villas, spread between three secluded beaches. The sandy beaches are enclosed by large outcrops of granite rocks which form idyllic sheltered coves, ideal for snorkeling and relaxing. The resort boasts two swimming pools with large decks on which to soak up the sun, views and refreshments.
The Rocky Resort is very well designed with beautiful gardens and offers a true boutique feeling. There are many different room types starting at Deluxe Garden View to the larger 2 storey Deluxe Thai Villas. The resort is very suitable for families as the Deluxe Family Ocean View and the Family Beachfront rooms have been designed with families in mind (they consist of 2 separate bedrooms). Facilities are good with 2 swimming pools and an open air restaurant with a refined cuisine. For larger parties (up to 8 persons) the Deluxe Thai Villas are a perfect option.

Rated #38 for all Koh Samui hotels
First time to Koh Samui, to ensure that my accomodations weren't going to be a disappointment, I booked the best room in a hotel not in the middle of a chaotic resort. My choice wasn't far off the mark, the room was beautiful, on a granite rock outcropping in a quiet location but close enough to venture about. It cost about as much as my 5 star accomodations in Bangkok. Compared with having just recently spent $600 for a nights stay at the Delano in Miami's South Beach, Rockys was a bargain. The lesser rooms are half the price and just as lovely so do some research.

Beautiful resort, lovely people. We had a really relaxing time. However I would say it was more geared towards couples than people with small children like us (3 and 6). Would definitly recommed for a romantic get away.

The time of my trip unfortunately coincided with a noisy local festival and a swarm of flying termites, the bugs were only a minor convenience for a day and as for the festival, well there was a lot of shopping and during dinner one night, I got to see a fabulous fireworks show from near ground zero.
The pool down by the beach is very nice, I didn't spend any time at the upper pool. The pool bar was a great place to spend the afternoons at and convenient to the tables for dinner.
The beach isn't the best however it is clean and private. You can take a taxi and go to Lamai or Chaweng if this is important. Result is you aren't worrying about non guests cutting / walking through your hotel like I did when visiting the aforementioned beaches.
Food was outstanding. Note that my first night there, I saw the Chef serving a private romantic meal on the beach for a couple, something I had never seen before,
