This small style boutique resort on Bophut Beach immediately catches the eye due to the bright colours used on the bungalows (mainly orange and blue). There are only 40 bungalows in 3 categories; Lawana Suite, Garden Premier and Private Pool Villas. All bungalows have their own private balcony. The private pool villas are in good condition. Facilities are standard for a small scale resort with a restaurant and swimming pool. The beach in front of the resort is very nice with no rocks and thus ideal for swimming with children.

The Lawana Resort is an average resort in a very good location. Although a little older, we found that it provided satisfactory value. Great for the budget conscious traveller who just wants to relax. It was our first time in Bophut and we feel it is the bext area. There are enough local shops and some very upmarket restaurants nearby (Zazen; The Pier at Fisherman's Village) plus a good selection of bars and cofee shops also at Fisherman's Village. The beaches are also much nicer and cleaner than Lamai and Chaweng.
