Located at the Northern end of Chaweng the Amari Palm Reef Resort & Spa has an impressive number of 187 rooms in 3 categories: 53 Superior, 126 Deluxe an 8 Junior Suites. In the Deluxe category the Deluxe Family Duplex rooms are ideal for families with small children due to an extra double bed on the second floor. Most of the rooms are actually located behind the road and not at the beach front. The beach itself is in good condition. Furthermore all standard facilities and services as one would expect from Amari are present.

Excellent service in the rooms, we managed to get the room cleaned after 7.00pm though we had left the do not disturb light on by mistake, it was done straight away. Beautiful landscaping and lighting. Only critiicism is that we were quoted too much for the hotel taxi service - compared to the airport taxi service (400 bahts vs 520) which was overpriced for the short distance. Debateable if I would visit Chaweng again hence my location rating (not the distance but the excessive development in the resort)...

The quality of Amari was exceptional. The quality of room fittings and decor was beautiful however there was no bath tub which I thought would be standard and also the bathroom was very small. Hotel facilities were exceptional and fantastic to laze around the pool or leisurly dining. Faultless service from the staff. I had a ocean side room and there was no noise at all. Perfect sleeping. Tourist services and concierge services were prompt and very polite and helpful. Good value but it is up market price.

500 meters away from all the hustle yet the hotel area is very quiet and relaxing, an excelent hotel with all the facilities you need for family and for couples with the best breakfast hotels can offer, definitley will be back.

The location of the room was a bit far from the sea but it did not take much of a hassle to walk across the road to the beach. A point of possible improvement, the television can be bigger as the room was quite big and the view from the bed was a bit too small.

We had booked a Delux Room and upgraded to a sea view suite. Would have been disapointed in the location of the majority of rooms which are accross a noisey main road. Food and service were top notch, get to know the pool staff by the beach, they will set up beds for you. If offered/ask for special offer on meals (3 Day package) also gives 20% of lots of bits on bill.
