Koh Samed island was certaily worth visiting and I can recommend it to everybody looking for quiet island away from busy cities. Saikaew Beach Resort room was in excellent condition and private cottage is naturally optimal if you are looking for peace and quiet. No car sound or traffic since island has only road... Hotel had also one of the best restaurants in the island altough it is not the cheapest one but on the otherhand not the most expensiest. Staff at Saikaew Beach Resortt was always friendly and willing to assist in all possible questions and arranging diving or boat trips. I can..

The New Year's Eve beach party was a joke. The staff was not prepared to handle the number of people that attended the party, and the entertainment was truly horrible!

I stayed the 3d time in this hotel, was very disspointed to get triple room absolutely the same as we had dbl last time. My freind checked-in in time, we were one day late. The third bed was not prepared, no 3rd towel, no breakfast vouchers...I had to call 3 time for the tird towell , could not take a shower!
The rest is good,a nice swimming pool and beautiful oasis around!

Robert from United Kingdom stayed in a Deluxe cottage for 9 days.
Room not ready for check in 2 hours after official check in time and had to wait for another 50 minutes to get into room. Expensive for a three star but overall we both enjoyed staying there and the room was always made up early in the morning and to a very high standard of cleanliness. Staff were always very polite and helpful. Koh Samet is not that big therefore does not really have a big choice of locations but the beach was nice and the hotel was reasonably close to the pier to go to the mainland. Overall a good experience because of the very clean condition of the room and the facilities in general.

Good value for money. Although it is a superior room, it is close to the beach. Good weather in January. You can enjoy sun and sea on the whitish beach. Excellent locaton to restaurants on the beach and main road. You can enjoy tasteful seafood or thai food conveniently.

Siobhan from United Kingdom stayed in a Superior for 2 days.
The only hotel on Saikeaw Beach that I can safely rest my head on the pillow and smell that it is clean. We are repeat visitors and some of the long time staff are especially friendly and welcoming. Rather expensive for the quality of the resort but Saikeaw Beach is blissful for it's relaxing atmosphere and ability to get a good beach massage or pedicure. The food in the restraunt is rather over-priced yet only of average quality.I like the mainland reception centre and the Ferry over, however I do not like having to pay for the bus to the resort once on the island. I feel the high cost of the hotel should include the complete transfer; reception centre to hotel door.

Masaki from Japan stayed in a Superior for 1 day.
good location to beach. spacious rooms gives you the relax time, but not so much thai decoration. staff is just ok. maybe front counter person should be a little bit more friendly. food is just average. if there is just one special food, or event at the restaurant like fire dance or some special cocktail/juice, it would be great, and memorable.
Thais celebrate Buddha’s birthday. Local Wats (Buddhist Temples) celebrate by holding candlelit processions. A tourist may take part in these parades and it can prove great fun.
