Avoid it like the plague. Much nicer places near by at a fraction of the cost. Staff are unfriendly and rooms smell so badly of mildew that you can barely sit in them. Dogs walk in and through the hotel and the staff dont even seem bothered.

amora phuket is a bit far away from main crowded phuket town. very quiet and cozy place. very good for family holidays (in case of nice are, quiet and safety!), nice for couples for romantic holidays. nice and clean beach with some nice wooden bars (i recommend alex and tuna one). spacious swimming - pool is very good option - especially for small children - my ones they spent all day long! room accessed to children swimming pool - very good area! amora resort is bad location whether your children requires shopping center and city style enterteinment. resort is about 2km from closest shop or bar. you could walk there or get very expensive (like for asian standards) local taxis. i would say daily shopping was a problmem for me and resort (any resport in phuket) do not support low price transportation! food in amora resport is expensive (generally phuket is overpriced compare to bangkok for example) and breakfest buffee is much below expectations! and that is 2 stars standard for breakfast. staff is friendly and did not disturb much (i dont like to many staff and botel boys around) - so for me that is very good. generally amora is good place for family and romantic coupples who wanna be a bit away from noisy beach and town parties. hotel quality is perfect for +/- 50usd per room per night. ah. there is a problem with doctor! amora has no any medical support. for that matter you must come to the next door resorts or come to the hospital in phuket town (about 25km)

I would say everything is wonderful, near to beach, nice facility, nice swimming pool, friendly staff. Only thing not comfortable is transportation not convenient, especially in night, no taxi.

The location was excellent.The food in the restaurants has to be improved

I like most is the cleanliness of rooms and the swimming pools are big enough.The least most is the quality of food they serve.Fish dishes are not fresh and the food is not hot by the time they put on your table or sent to the room.

This was our third stay at Amora/Rydges, and the quiet location direct at the beach is still excellent and the staff is still the same smiling and service minded people. Unfortunately other things has disappeared: No hair-cut saloon, reduced activities and reduced opening time i the shop etc. To meet competition from the new next door hotel these things must be brought back to the level it was.

This is 3 or 2 star hotel and not 4 star. Overall its nice hotel but the price is too much.

Wonderful family holiday, lovely warm staff.

Though the carpet in the room was quite old and feels dirty, overall, the room was spacious and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. Compliments to all staff who were very friendly and helpful. The beach is really wonderful. Although your website states that their's a beauty saloon in the hotel, we didn't see one. We certinaly would return to the hotel next year. We wish them all the best and may their business picked up next year. I hope the excellent service and standard would continue even with better occupancy rate.
