The hotel was excellent value. The rooms were clean well kept and the staff was very friendly and helpfull. The Hotel is in an excellent location walking distance to the beach , shops, restaurants and bars. There was no noise from bars or the street which is very good. The service at Poppa Palace was very poor. The breakfast was very average and the male waiter working in the restaurant at breakfast was an absolute disgrace. He was rude, lazy and very unprofessional. Each morning was a chore to have to eat breakfast there and have to put up with him. Breakfastt was included in the price. The reception staff were friendly enough but the laziest bunch of hotel staff we have ever come across. We rang reception from our room to ask if they could book a table for us for dinner at the Amari Coral Resort. We were told "we don't have the number call yourself". We found the number in the yellow pages supplied in the room and tried to call out. Unable to do so we rang reception to ask how and they said "cannot call from room phone". Not willing to help in any way. The place is quite clean and the housekeeping staff do a great job and very efficient. There was construction work on all sides of the building while we were there so it was also rather noisy and not ever peaceful from early in the morningtil late at night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. After our 5th visit to Phuket this is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

Good standard of room, clean, the swimming pool was a little bit small but enough for low season, only negative point for "wake-up late" is no housekeeping and no restaurant after 3:00PM. But no problem, there were a nice little restaurant (Patong Corner) 20m from the hotel.The tour information also is very good (i went to Koh Phi Phi, very very nice!!! and good value for money)

Enjoyable experience from day 1. The room was new and spacious, with a great balcony. 5 star hotel at a 3 star price. Will always stay there whenever we go to Phuket.

in generally, all is good. when I came at the first night, i have to use the stair for going upstair, i stayed at 3rd floor (room 308), its a wide room. i rather upset for the first sight because the lift was not operatrd well, but after the lift normal again, I was satisfied for this hotel facilities. one can I inform, it should be more satisfied if the outdor unit of air conditioning not too noissy, not laying at the balcony (behind the sliding glasses doors).

Overall is good. Except the view from my room is not what I expected to see Chinese Tomb! And the pathway / shortcut to Patong Beach is not safe ( no proper exist) and road is muddy.

Very good cozy hotel with nice staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. It is very quiet too. Breakfast is in good quality although not in large variety. Location is excellent. Very near to the dinner area and shopping district. Very near to the beach too if use the shortcut. But a part of the shortcut is very dirty.

Great value hotel! Once you get over its odd location in a small sidestreet, it shows itself as a real gem. Nice rooms, great little swimming pool, friendly staff and a decent breakfast. And it has an elevator - a real bonus in a small Patong hotel. I would heartily recommend to young people and couples who want a nice, clean room close to all the action.
