secure area is awful, anyone can get ur key in front desk without asking the guest name, no entertainment at all, nails coming out at the pool side.

The rooms have been renovated. However, although the new room decor is stylish and modern, the cloth over the bed and the separated toilet and bathroom only serve to make the room feel much smaller. We actually preferred the old room decor, even if it was a little dated. The Patong Beach Hotel has the perfect location, close to everything, yet set back slightly from the road. We were very disappointed with the hotel on this visit due to poor staff attitude. We had always enjoyed previous stays here, but we felt most unwelcome this time. Every single request, however mundane, seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. Has the management changed? We moved to the Holiday Inn Busakorn Wing, which was fabulous and where the staff were friendly and helpful. We won't go back to the Patong Beach Hotel. The Patong Beach Hotel used to be good value, but now the hotel chains are offering far better facilities and service at the same price or less. Management needs a wake-up call!!
