We highly recommend this hotel to anyone. There is something magically tranquil & soothing about the place- it was probably the combination of beautiful modern-Thai décor (picture-perfect from any angle) and the warm hospitality we received. My husband and I stayed at several small, boutique hotels in Phuket whilst on this anniversary trip, but the BEST BED and breakfast buffet goes to Manathai! We also appreciated the simple amenities & gestures like the fresh lemon drink & chilled-with-mint hand-towels at check-in, small fruit basket, dvd-player in room, free internet access at the business ...

Beautiful hotel - Would definitely recommend. Our favourite thing about the hotel was the design and feeling of tranquility. The staff were also incredibly friendly & welcoming. The only problem we had was noise from a building area next door, but this seemed to be resolved once we had complained, and did not spoil our stay what so ever.

After having read some negative reviews on tripadvisor after we booked, we were a bit dubious about staying at the Manathai. However, it an excellent hotel, staff are great & helpful & even better, we were upgraded to a Duplex Suite free of charge for our last 2 nights. Thoroughly recommended

Please take care, the starf is not to trust. We have a very big amount stolen from safety box in room, and nobody take responsibility from manager to company. Cleaning people is not to trust. We have now tryed to e-mail with company for 8 month but they can not or read will not take responsibility. After 6 month the say that they can not find foodspint in room, so no robbery have taken place. When we arrived at hotel they did not have room ready yet, we have reservation and payd, and was put in an other hotel for one night. Manathai general manager mr. Stephan wil not take responsibility. We have travel all over world and have never had so bad experience with a hotel.

The Manathai Hotel is really nice. The room is spacious, clean, cozzy and beautiful. The different areas of the hotel are really nice and comfortable. The staff is very nice. The breakfast was great. The only downside is the location, the surroundings are not very nice, nor the view. Next to the hotel there is a costruction going on, so it's not so quiet. The beach is about 2 minutes walking distance. Also transportation is not so easy to find, but there is a van available at night to take you to Patong and pick you up (after 3 hours, so if you want to party in Patong you would have to pay a taxi).

We also appreciated the simple amenities & gestures like the fresh lemon drink & chilled-with-mint hand-towels at check-in, small fruit basket, dvd-player in room, free internet access at the business centre, and English newspapers in the morning (weirdly, we could only get these after 2pm, if any, at the other locations). We stayed on a high floor overlooking the pool; view to the left & right were other hotels/construction site, but so what? One is not in Phuket to merely gaze from the window & stay indoors! Surin beach is just across the road & service/food at the Manathai Beach Club was superb. We also managed to negotiate for a more competitive rate for airport transfer (if you even consider asking politely a negotiation!) Airport transfer by the other hotels we stayed at was simply exorbitant & non-negotiable. Overall, this hotel is value for money (rate by hoteltravel.com) & we'll certainly be returning again.

The Manathai is well-located in Surin Beach - short walk across a small street to get to the beach. The staff are friendly and helpful with a high standard of English skills. Breakfast in the restaurant was average - all of the hot dishes were cold and the coffee was average. The fresh juice also wasn't fresh. The decor in the lobby and bar are very interesting - contemporary Thai. The room was clean, but looked out onto the back of a motorcycle repair shop. The beds were comfortable, but most of the furnishings were cheaply done, including a no-name TV and DVD with tinny speakers. Overall, it was an average to good value for money. I would recommend people to stay here if they are looking for a reasonable 3-4 star hotel.

A lovely small hotel the Junior Suite I stayed in was very nice, the pool was nice it could have had the leaves taken out a bit more often, the staff are fantistic I've stayed in Thailand many times and the Thai hospitality is famous but at the Manathai it was exceptional. The area and beach is very good. Altogether a wonderful experience. Would recomend this hotel to anyone

Highly recommended Manathai Hotel. Room is small but quiet location and romantic. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and warm reception. Just 2 min walk to Surin beach and also not far away from Patong beach. I wish visit again next year.

Lovely, cozy room, not that big, but beautifully decorated. The service couldn't have been better. I especially liked the way you check-in,a staff member takes care of it all, while you sit and relax with a nice lemon drink. Everyone was extremely pleasant.
