My husband and I stayed at the Katathani for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. We were surprised with a beautiful honeymoon cake upon arrival. The staff were amazing and very friendly always happy to assist with anything and always a smile to offer. The resort is so large and perfectly located across from a beautiful beach, due to the location. The resort and the beach are quite secluded; you never felt the bustle of the city. Both wings of the resort were gorgeous, the food was amazing and the rooms very glamorous and perfect sizes. Overall cannot say a bad thing about this resort.

We loved the Katathani. We were there for our wedding in September 2010 and have nothing but great things to say about the resort. What we were looking for was a classy resort in Phuket that will give us the quality of a big resort but the privacy of a boutique one. The Katathani was a great choice for us in both respect. Because the resort occupied the entire Kata Noi beach, it offered great privacy. We saved a ton of money on our barefoot wedding - i.e. DIY wedding right in front of the resort with a total spending of THB1500 on flowers, the waves for our music and sunset for our decoration. Reception was done at the Seacret restaurant at the resort. Food was extremely well prepared and yummy. We opted to not purchase wine from the resort and asked guests who are flying in from Hong Kong and Australia to bring us wine instead (as wine is very expensive in Thailand) and only paid corkage fees. The resort has many activities suited for different types of guests - kids pool, manicure/pedicure/massages right on the lawn, motorcycle rental just out the door, tuk tuk to take you to beaches next door (5-15 min away). The only inconvenience at the hotel is that there is no voicemail in rooms, so getting in touch with our guests was a little hard; short of asking staff to deliver physical messages under their doors. I would highly recommend the Katathani for those looking for a private place to get married. It's definitely the place to be compared to other resorts on beaches north of Kata Noi.

We were a bit dissappointed when we arrived as this hotel has clearly bought additional properties close to the original Katathani hotel and the Buri wing is situated on the opposite side of the road to the beach and the rooms quite frankly are not up to scratch. Very dark and sparse. We paid for an upgrade to a Junior suite which was much more what we expected from the web site. Good spacious rooms with sea views close to the swimming pools and beach. Its just a shame that we had to go thropugh the trauma on check in before we were happy. Compared to other hotels that are supposed to be the same rating the Katathani fell short on a number of things. The breakfast felt more like a school canteen and the little touches were missing. Other hotels offer cool towels , water and fresh fruit through the day and the Katathani never misses a chance to charge! When i requested ice to be delivered to the room i was told there was a charge of 300 b aht! Quite extraordinary! The staff in general were all very helpful and friendly. But i dont think we will be returning to this hotel.

i was a little disapoointed in the hotel room i had, after looking at the katathani website, i expected complimentary fruit in my room and a view over the ocean. also the website had petals everywhere in the bathroom, i am afraid all i seen were ants running about

Overall Katathani was great. Only areas of improvement is the prices in Resturants was too expensive based on the quality of food. Also furnishings in the room (TV, couch etc.) needs to be updated.

My self and my family enjoyed very much our holidays in Katathani. The most we liked was the professionalism of the staff. Very friendly people and smiles everywhere. The Hotel itself had romantic and family environment. Its restaurants had excellent food. If we ever have the opportunity we will come back to the Kathatani.

My family had a fantastic 5-day stay in Katathani. We were offered a complimentary upgrade to the junior suite and we enjoyed the additional space and luxury. Breakfast spread was great but will be better with varied choices on different days. Staff were friendly and helpful. The chambermaids always have surprises for us each nite we return to our room and my 2-year old daughter loved it! Only downside is the location and be prepared to be ripped off by the taxi/tuktuk drivers... a trip to Patong/Phuket Town is 500 baht and after much negotiation, we then managed to bring it down to 350 baht. As we were leaving early in the morning, we have no choice but to arrange airport transfer with the hotel... and that's 750 baht! Would I go back? I guess I would! My wife is still raving about the place!

The grounds are well kept and the hotel is spotless. The bathroom is a very nice size. We had trouble with our transfer to the airport. The food was just average. Drinks were very overpriced compared to every other place we went. The beach is pretty. Overall, a nice place to stay, but if I returned to Phuket, I would probably choose a new place to try out.

If you are looking to stay tucked away from the hussle & bustle of Patong, Katathani is the place to be. It is only a 15 min tuk tuk ride to Patong, & walking distance from Kata Beach & Karon Beach. The Kata Noi Beach is nicer & cleaner than the others, with far less traders & tourists there. We will stay at the Katathani Beach Resort on our next visit to Phuket.

Katathani Phuket Beach Resort was a wonderful place to stay at. We enjoyed being so near the beach (clean and quite exclusive too) and the swimming pool was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only minor blemish was the room service. We arrived late at night and didn't have our dinner, thus, we ordered room service. The selection from the room service menu was very limited and boring. Other than that, everything else was wonderful. My husband and I went to Phuket to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary and we were glad that we chose Katathani. We've decided to bring our 3 kids there for a family vacation next year. I would personally rate Katathani 5 out of 5 despite the minor blemish.

Katathani Resort is an excellnet hoiday resort right on the sea. The sea view from the room was breath-taking; so beautiful. The sea temperture was warm, though it was the rainy season. The staff were all polite and smily. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great place for a family to vacation. I have been there already few times before. Propose to expand the "kids club" to have more options and be bigger. Recommend to have more variety on the room service. Although the beach does not belong to the hotel, would recommend to have it cleaned every morning. Staff very helpful. Always a taxi available.
