The first night there seemed to be a Disco next to my room, not the faiult of the Hotel but a nearby bar. The safe didn't work and despite asking everyday it was never fixed. Also the bed was a bit hard for me but nothing was done about this either. Still an enjoyable stay and I would risk it again.

To begin with, we had to move from our first room because of too much noice eminating from the bars, 2AM, building next door containing generators and A/C equipment. Moved to a room in the other building supposed to be more quiet, however we ended up on the ground floor with a claustrofobic atmosphere caged in by high cement wall and mosquito infested. The breakfast is the worst ever experienced in Thailand, fried eggs in burning butter, flames two feet high and a narrow selection of alternatives. Three people employed at this facility stod out as a positive experience, always chearful and friendly. One, a lady serving at breakfast who always greeted good morning and thank you, and the two bellboys at the entrance serving towels. Should not be classified as a Resort.

The rooms are exceptionally clean and really spacious. We were on the ground floor which meant the view was not good (a concrete wall) but we were never disturbed and the room was very quiet. The location is excellent, 2 minute walk to the beach and in the middle of some really good bars and eateries. I would definately stay in this hotel again and am sure to return to Kata as the resort is beautiful.

This is the third time I´ve stayed at Kata Poolside. First time back in 2003 it was at the " old "
Kata Poolside which cannot be compared to the standard now! I´ve stayed in two types of rooms, the that faces the nextdoor hotel and the " restaurant street " and the one facing the poolarea, reception or with the mountainview. The later ones are to recommend upon booking, since they have a larger balcony and in my opinion a better view. The ones in the 1st floor facing the pool, would probably be great for childrenfamilys since they have direct poolaccess. The staff is friendly, polite, the rooms are clean and quite large, I think it meets up to expectations that You can have of a 4 star rated hotel. Only thing i can think of that could have been better, is the A/C, it´s a little bit noisy, but efficient! The restaurant, " Lobster & Prawn " is great! Great staff, great food at affordable prices, and the food is served in my opinion very quickly in comparison to many other restaurants I´ve visited! ( Cannot speak for the peakseason since I´ve only been there in lowseason ). The location is also great, with only one minute walk to the beach and shopping and restaurants around the corner!
I can strongly recommend this hotel since it´s practically new, affordable rates and the location is good! Probably be back next year!

This hotel is not what it appears on the website and we were disappointed in the pool facilities especially. The breakfast has very little choice and was not well presented. The internet facility is fine except the staff does not explain that one must log off in order to use the remaining time that you may have on the password provided. In all the place was not professionally run and we would not return regardless of cost.

Great room and pool - very clean, fantastic bath and shower. Location was not too far from the beach and there is some decent shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Also quite a few travel agents so very easy to barter against one another. For the price I paid it was definetely great value for money ($39/room). When we arrived, there was a "HAPPY HONEYMOON" written in rose petals on our bed - which we thought was a nice touch. The only negative I would say was the restaurant which attracted a lot of flies and breakfast was average, but included in the price (although they served omelets which were pretty good). Would def stay there again!

I get fantastic room with direct pool access...I really enjoy it...Staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Quite large room, very nice bed, TV with lot of foreign channels, Wireless internet for really resonable price. Room is very clean and done twice a day. Hotel bassed near Kata main street, but rooms are far away from street. Thai massage at fantastic price - 2 hours 550bht. Value for money and staff is very friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kata Poolside resort but the only thing that really upset us is the tour desk. JC Tour is very bad in service and staff manner. We would like to warn you about this tour operator. Don't use them. We love this hotel and will come back for sure but will never use any tour or taxi service from JC Tour!!!

Excellent rooms!! Better than Hilton - especially because of the seperated bathtop and shower-cabin - definetely a place i will get back to.. when the construction ends! You cannot relax at the pool when the construction is on... Besides that, all good if you don't go to big pool and accessories like fitness etc.
