Wanderfull staff,very friendly and helpfull.The superior room was very nice,clean and big.Breakfast was worth waking up early for it (7.30-10.30)and the resturant is sea view which is huge plus. Location is great and queit,across the street from the lovely and relaxing Karon beach,around the corner there is alot of resturantes and a Mini market,the hotel is about 15 minutes walking from Karon Center,and 10 min drive from Patong beach.
We wil definitley recommend this hotel for anybody who is looking for a great value for the money in nice hotel in Karon beach....

My wife and myself stayed 3 nights at Karon Princess Hotel (Deluxe Mountain View). Stayed during peak period (9-12 Jan 2008).
We chose it for the following reasons: (1) Available and within our budget, (2) beach front, (3) on Karon beach as opposed to Patong, (4) mostly positive reviews from trip advisor and other sites.
We feel that the main plus point for Karon Princess is that it's right on the beach (but so are most of the other hotels on Karon beach). On one occasion when my wife went for a massage, I wanted to go swimming in the sea but didn't want to bring any belongings for security reasons. I wore my swim gear, crossed the road, down the beach and right into the sea! If you want anything closer than that, go get a water villa in the Maldives.
The hotel is rated 3 stars and rightly so. The layout of this hotel (and most of the other hotels on the beach) is basically a long, narrow, deep block. I guess that's the only way they can cramp that many hotels in front of the beach. The long narrow block is divided into wings (sections). The first wing upon entry is the reception desk and cafe facing the beach. The second wing looks like the standard rooms. Next wing is the swimming pool block, and the last block houses the deluxe rooms (which we were at). Walking past the standard rooms, I think I would have been better off staying in the standard rooms as, although a little smaller, they had their balconies angled towards the beach as opposed to facing the next door

This hotel provides good service with the cleanroom and the warmhearted staff. It is a good place to relax with quiet surrounding. It is a good place if you just like quiet. There is no more entertainment nearby. We have to take taxi 20 mintues and pay over 300 thb to get the biggest shopping mall and pub street in Phuket Town.

I booked one of the better rooms - I think they are called the "diamond" rooms or something like that. These were very good and recently refurbished. However, I saw inside some of the basic rooms and these looked very dated and poorly decorated in comparison. Very much worth paying the extra.

This hotel is amazing. We stayed there during low season and so we got a great deal. It's amazingly clean and the people there are so nice. Our room was cleaned everyday and we were given fresh towels, etc. whenever we asked for them. The only downside is that they keep track of every little thing and the maid made and error and tried to charge us 30 dollars for something that she lost. We got it all taken care of in the end and didn't have to pay.

Everything was nice about the hotel, except the following two things: hotel does not provide the hair conditioner (the staff do not even know what that is, when I asked to bring some hair conditioner to my room), and the hotel is located close to a nasty canal , which is on the other side of the street from the hotel (close to the beach).
