Best resort we stayed so far, especially for families with small children. A little remote location outside the busy tourist areas. Overall pricing a bit high. Very friendly staff, great buffet choise and very good overall service. Health club is excellent. We definetely plan to come back!...

Nice hotel for short family trip. The rooms were nice and so were the facilities. Dissappointing lack of Thai food.

Excellent hotel for a family holiday with little children. If you do want nightlife, etc. its a haul into town. Room had all the facilities required, reasonable amount of space with a nice balcony and sitting area. Bathroom was very spacious. 3 swimming pools with different environments, kids area was nice, and the kids club adequate. Option of hotel transport (expensive Mercedes cars) or more reasonable local taxis organised by the transportation desk.

Excellent hotel with everything you could need. Secluded location makes it a plus if you want to be away from the action areas (crowds), but a minus if you want to go to the action areas. Beach is very nice and not crowded, as most people stay at the pools (many pools and all very nice). Food is excellent at the hotel restaurants - prices were not as expensive as some make it out to be. The deli and cafe offer good choices at a good price. If you want to just relax and enjoy a touch of luxury, this is a very good option.

While i was aware of the somehwt remote location, the JW Marriott creates much extra expense if one wishes to experience the rich variety of food that Phuket has to offer. It is just too far from any civilization and one is stuck to having food at the hotel's restaurants. Neither does the hotel have a frequent and resaonable transport to town, nor are any reasonable taxi services available nearby. Everyone views the location as granting them some rightto charge what they feel like knowing the guests have little choice if they wish to do anything outside the hotel walls. Otherwise, a fine place.

we requested the ocean view but it was only partial, which was bit of dissapointment...and also requested the king sized bed room, but got queen sized twin room...as for the bed, staff address our request immediately to make those two bed to one big bed, which was pleasant. all the restaurants/bars are great, ambient/food/staff/service all well accepted. the spa & pools are good, nice lobby would be happy to go back to stay again.

It was a great place for a family vacation. My children loved the facilities especially the swimming pool with the slide. I wished there were more activities for the kids in the kids club but overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is far away from shopping centers and nightlife. The cost of food and drinks are European levels rather than what I had expected in Thailand.

It is a really indeed beautiful & gorgeous resort hotel in Phuket, but it is also true that the price is well high enough to meet the quality of your fantastic stay. And, even if you want to get away from the hotel and go to some local restaurant to save your money, there is no option. It is compulsory to take those gorgeous & expensive meal every day. Of course, the meal itself was also great, but I didn't feel that they worth for the high price, which can be described that alomost double to other 5 star hotel in laguna area, just for example to compare.
In overall, it was a really great stay at JW Marriott, and I don't regret staying there, but I'm not confident whether I would stay here at my next visit to Phuket.

The Marriott is a great hotel and perfect for families - it is however remote meaning that having to eat in the hotel's excellent restaurants soon becomes expensive. That aside 10 out of 10.
