The service was great, the staff were very kind. We had a problem with the internet card we bought running out too soon, and they charged us $40 to get to the airport however. The location is right down the street from the beach, and next to tonns of resturants and bars....

Hotel is in a fabulous location. 1 bedroom cabana was great, especially the plunge pool, although the room did lack furniture inside (table & chairs). Wouldn't stay in anything other than a cabana, very private, spacious and central to everything.
Buffet breakfast was good, however, staff a little slow on clearing tables & replenishing food.
Overall, all staff are "super" friendly and I would definitely recommend Centara Karon Resort and would stay again, if returning to Phuket.

Breakfast buffet was great, it changed slightly everyday and tried very hard to cater for most tastes, one of the best we have had. Grounds were lovely, very well kept and the three pools were well spread out so kids of all ages could do their own thing without too much disturbance to others. Cleanliness was very good, on the whole, but the resort is looking tired and shabby in places. The Superior rooms are only for the people who want cheap and staggering distance from the bars, with the bar noise thumping into your room. Peace & quite is not an option in these rooms.The Deluxe and Premium Deluxe do not suffer with noise at all and are very spacious with good layout and some balcony/veranda options. Our visit was in low season with occupancy at only 50%, we would only return in low season.

The hotel staff were friendly at all times and with the exception of our check-in - efficient. The location is close to the beach and to various other restaurants and bars - however in general, we did not enjoy Phuket as much as Krabi - things in Phuket were more expensive and the bars were more seedy.

the hotel blackout twice during our 4 days stay. electricty was cut off in the middle of the night, air con couldn't work then. i didn't expect that from a 4 star establishment. the jacuzzi in our room broke down once had to wait over 30 mins before they fix it.
