The Hotel has very good Restaurants and bar. It as an shop near the receptions where you can buy liquor, and other stuff and take it and consume in your rooms and keep in the room bar refrigirator. The Kids club, swimming pool is very good and they take care of the kids with activities. They have good kids pool activies as well. Just ouside the Hotel there are lots and lots of shops, supermarkets, exchange houses, ATM's etc. The beach is just across the road and very good. Stayed in the Busakorn with pool access. Great room and pool. Plenty of towels and the free beverages supplied each day was nice. Flat screen TVs and DVD player was also great as we could watch locally purchased videos on a big screen instead of having to use my laptop. Great price during Oct over priced in high season. We'll return again during off season!

(+) convenient, many restaurants surrounding the hotel. staffs are very friendly.
(-) buffet breakfast menu is hardly changed, we have lost appetite after so many days eating the same type of food. Tried the seafood buffet, not tasty at all. The bottom of kids pool is either to sliperry or too harsh (becareful, one slip your son will bleed, that happened to my son)

Our family enjoyed the stay throughout the 3 nights + 2 extended nights due to airport closure of anti government protest. During the airport closure period, the staffs of Holiday Inn has shown extra care for us and make us feel safe and easy and offer extended nights with good rate.

Pros :
1. Busakorn section Pool much better and less crowded with pool bar compared to Main Wing Pool.
2. Better individual service for Busakorn guests.
Cons :
1. Busakorn studio rooms have no bath tubs, only showers hence the hotel provided a separate baby bath tub.
2. Breakfast buffet in Busakorn section was the same everyday with less than expected variety for the price paid. The Main Wing breakfast buffet had better variety but only guests staying in the Main Wing were allowed to eat here.

I've stayed there before and I will stay there again. Great hotel, great food, great beverages, great pool and great location. Nice beach in front of the hotel. Within walking distance to the walking streel. This is where you will spend many evenings. Many grocery marts within a block of hotel.

Excellant hotel in prime location for beach, shopping and transport provision. The rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished. Breakfast is fantastic in respect to both choice, service and venue which overlooks the pool. No concerns or complaints whatsover about the Holiday Inn Phuket.

This was my second stay at the holiday Inn - the room are generous in size for a studio room, staff are extreemly friendly and go out of their way to please,the location is perfect and the choice of restaurants are excellent

One of the concerns I had was the amount of children at the hotel, especially around the pool. The pool staff did try their hardest to keep it under control but unfortunately with the amount of children it was nearly impossible. The children were also running up and down hallways with parents allowing them to play in the hallways, I found this was not controlled at all by the hotel. As I was on a holiday with friends and we didn't have children this was a concern to us BUT however Im sure parents would find this a wonderful hotel as it is very family friendly.
The rooms were very clean. Next time I would consider the next level up.
Utilised the Spa area and had a massage which was very professional.
I found the language barrier a concern with trhe staff when utilising their services. The breakfast was amazing with the choices and set up. We dined in the restaurant and found the food was very good. I found this part confusing as the concierge is not a part of the hotel. so when you book a tour etc thru concierge they utilise different people. We booked the Fantasea thru concierge and thought we had booked the gold seats but because it went thru a different area we received normal seats, it was a bit confusing. The facilities around the pool were great, it was just the children being allowed to play in the adults pool which was frustrating. Could not have asked for a better locationm it was in the midst of everything, shopping restaurants etc. Due to the amount of children in the hallways and pool I found the hotel very noisy

The kiddy family suite was just nice for my family of 4. The kiddy attachment though a tad small served its purpose. The double decker bed with the x-box and dvd player in the kiddy room kept the kids occupied at night. The beach is just cross the road and a security guard make sure u cross the road safely as he stops traffic for you. The gym was abit disappointing though, as I would expect a better equip room as it serve both the old and Busakorn wing. Restaurants are sufficient for your meals if you do not want to venture out of the hotel. Overall very good value for a family of 4 as the prices of hotels have gone ballastic since the last time I visited phuket 2 years ago.

Except for service, everything was fine and the location is really convenient. I booked a king-size room but they gave me a twin-bed one. Room cleaning everytime left some stains on the floor or on the table.

I travel and stay in International Hotels every month and this is the first hotel that I have found that thinks about it's guests more than making money. One example is that the room mini bar is empty and they supply a mini shop in the lobby for guests to fill their own fridge. Most hotels always over charge for mini bars in the rooms. The shop in the Lobby keeps it's prices the same as in the Supermarket.
This Hotel scores very high with me, it's all round performance was excellent.

Staying at Holiday Inn Phuket was great for me and my wife! It was worthy of paying the money for us to enjoy our 1st wedding anniversary.
Having great luck, we got our booked Busakorn studio upgraded to Busakorn Vila and we enjoyed the facility and room service with nice support from hotel personnels.
Not only from the lucky upgrade, but also due to the very convenient location of the hotel in the so-called downtown 'Patong Beach' in Phuket island, it was way more convenient for us to reach many attractions with cheaper transportation fare. I would like to visit the hotel on my next opportunity again.

I got the family suit type of room in the main wing. It was really an execllent hotel, the swiming pool was fantastic, me and my wife were surprised of the room that we got. There was very nice and private room seperated for our kids, it comes with very nice facilities. My kids enjoyed the play station and the DVD kids film.

I stayed and ate at Busakorn, very good. Steakhouse excellent, Italian place very good, nice bar to watch sunset. Nice kids club and kids pool. Great quiet family hotel, but people should keep in mind that beach has waves/undertow during wet season and that Patong is noisy, dirty, and sleazy. Definately 4+ Stars by Western standards plus one of the few on the island w/ decent kids facilities, close to beach, hard to beat for price.

Our pool access room in the Busakorn Wing was without a doubt the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Being able to step out the patio door and into the semi private pool was heaven. We appreciated being able to retreat from the chaos and frantic pace of the street to the serenity of our room and the pool. Every one of the staff we encountered was friendly, gracious, professional and anxious to help us. We will definitely return and will recommend the hotel to those who appreciate the finer things in life.
