We booked a superior room-but when we arrived we had been upgraded to a villa... it was absolutely amazing, really nice place.. quiet.. 5 mins walk to action in Karon. 10 mins by tuk-tuk to Patong Beach. Excellent food at the hotel. Nice pools....

My stay at the Front Village was pretty good. The staff were all extremely kind and helped where ever they could. The rooms were a good size and had everything you needed. I payed extra to have a poolside room and it was excellent. The buffet breakfast was also good which was included in our costs.
It was only a 10 minute drive to Patong which is where we spent most of our time and only a 5 minute walk to Karon beach. There are also a lot of markets and nice restaurants that we discovered anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes walk from the hotel. The only complaint I had was the service at dinner time. We had a meal the first night we were there and the food took an hour to come out. We expected to pay higher prices than you do out in the street but for the price we payed we thought that the food would have been quicker. Other than that I would recommend The Front Village to anyone who would like to have a relaxing holiday away from the busy areas as Karon is not as busy as Patong.

Karon is well away from all the activity and the taxi rides from the hotel are expensive. Although friendly, the staff were not really aware of the facilities and services of the hotel. Would rate it 'good' in terms of 'value for money' but considering the distance to any activity besides the beach, I may not consider staying in the hotel again.

As the other people said, here is very worth to spending holiday, especially for someone who prefer relaxing and quiet. The room, swimming pool and other facilities are nice! Everything is just good except the price of dinner. But it's close to the karon centre, we may go there now and then and order the real typical Thai food in different restaurants.

The bar staff at the pool bar are normally courteous, friendly and efficient but at happy hour the staff ( usually only one) is/are stretched - my wife ordered a milkshake from the bar in happy hour and was refused because the bar attendant was too busy making alcoholic drinks and would have had to go to the kitchen to get ice-cream and milk. The hotel needs to put more staff on duty at that bar at Happy Hour. Also, the satellite TV service was down for several days we were there and when it came back we could only get 3 or 4 channels - no one told us to call the Reception to get a staff member to come and retune it so we could get all the 20 or so channels - we only found out about this when speaking to another guest when checking out. Otherwise, the hotel was good value.

My wife and I travel to Thailand once a year when possible. We look for a Hotel that is clean, safe, affordable, comfortable and friendly. This Hotel is without doubt one of the best value for money Hotels we have stayed at. Staff service was excellent. Meals provided, while not sumptious, were equal to any other Hotel we have stayed at in this price bracket. The Hotel is fairly laid back and family orientated and the staff were always willing to assist with any problems that arose. We have used a number of Hotels along the Karon beach area over a period of years and this Hotel is, value for money, better than any others we have stayed at. If we visit Phuket again we shall be using this Hotel.
