This hotel is fantastic if you want piece and quiet in fantastic surroundings. If you prefer the nightlife and bright lights then stay away. For us with our two kids it was just heaven. The snorkeling off the private beach was amazing. The hotel setting is just beyond words. The photos do not do it justice. The room and bathroom are both excellent. In fact all the hotel facilities are great. The only downside (or you could consider it a plus) is the location. To get to the local village is a good 10 minute walk (taxis seem to have a flat fee of 200 Bht from the village to the hotel), but we en...

It is an wonderful and restful place for a getaway. Lock within a jungle setting. Lots of fresh air. Though the private Beach is small and is good for relaxation and some snorkelling right at the 'doorstep'. But too near the marina and rocky, not for serious swimming. There is a nice pool though underutllies. Who wants to use the pool anyway in an island resort?Location is a bit remote but suits my vacation concept fine as I go for light and easy. The only fall-back was that the remote locked away, location do not allow easy access to other parts of Phuket. The staff were wonderful though in making sure that whatever transportaion needs are arranged without any hiccups. but typically of Phuket, cost of transport is expensive as compared to the norm in other parts of Thailand.

Also hired a car from the hotel and toured around Phuket, and this just confirmed what a fantastic place the Baan Krating Jungle Beach is. So glad we didn't end up in Patong Beach, which just seemed like hell after being in Nai Harn. If you get there, the best advice is to hire a car and go and visit the Big Buddah on the hill - the tourists havent arrived yet, and its truely amazing, with fantastic views.

The location is secluded at the end of the bad road. It´s located in a jungle area that is cosy. The bungalows are nicely built in the nature on the jungle hill. There is a lot of stairs to walk on so you must be i a good condition to stay here and you can´t be afraid of the animals that live in the jungle as snake, lizzards or apes. Small but nice beach, however it could need a little bit of sandcleaning. It´s a good value for the money and I will certainly come back. The staff are very friendly. Good restaurant.

We loved the Baan Krating facilities. We stayed with Baan Krating in both Phuket and Khoa Lak. The Phuket location is a little remote, but sooo romantic.
