I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was clean & well priced. The beach is Not nice in Karon (or Patong or Kata for that matter), but that is not the fault of the hotel. Baan Karonburi has one of the nicest pools which makes up for the beach which is dirty. My only criticism is that the staff did not speak much English and this made my stay difficult. It was hard to even get them to understand that I wanted to book a taxi for the airport. Aside from that I would stay here again withour hesitation. Location was good. This hotel was a fabulous value for the money! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The rooms were large and clean, washrooms were clean, pool beautiful and entrance lovely. You can easily see the beach from the restaurant. The only small concerns I had were that the rooms were rather musty when we arrived - being rainy season they needed to be aired out or have the a/c ran for awhile. With low season being very quiet transport out of Karon was expensive, but if you aren't going to be going out every night this shouldn't be a problem.

The restaurant they had was very good. But the breakfast that is included was just OK. They could definitely improve it, but ...it was cheap ;) The restaurant has a great view. The sunsets from there were spectacular. There was no proper bar though they served drinks both in the swim up bar in the pool and the restaurant. The pool has a warterfall - need I say more? It was amazing. There were bus stops located right in front of the hotel. Because it was in a main area getting picked up or dropped off by tours was no problem. The shopping market was a 2 min walk away.

Nothing outstanding about this hotel. Service, with the exception of service from the friendly bell boy, was bad - waitress served with a long face. Staff should remember their friendly gracious reputation and serve more graciously.

We booked 2 'Delux Seaview' rooms for 2 nights. However, when we checked in the first evening, we couldn only get rooms on the ground floor which naturally didn't have a seaview at all. We requested for compensation however they only promised to change rooms the next day but didn't agree on any compensation on our lose. Except this unpleasant experience, the hotel was excellence for its cost, especially a morning walk in its garden along the small pond of lotus then a afternoon drinks literally IN the well designed pool.
