Koh Phi Phi consists of two islands situated about 40km from Krabi; Phi Phi Lei and Phi Phi Don. Phi Phi Don is arguably one of the most popular tourist destinations along the Andaman Coast, especially during the peak months from December to March, when many tourists visit. Even so, the island retains much of its original beauty.
In Phi Phi, there are endless opportunities to keep the children engaged and entertained. Fishing is a favourite past time for the local children and it is certain that visiting children will enjoy fishing as well. They will also enjoy beach activities like building sand castles, swimming, chasing crabs and canoe trips. For the older kids, rock climbing, snorkelling and kayaking are activities that will definitely make them leave the video games in the hotel room.

Chinese New Year: is a time of firecrackers, lion dancers parading through the streets and time to ‘spring-clean’ the house, it is celebrated in February by all Thais of Chinese descent. Lanterns line the streets and the smell of incense wafts through the air. Dragon parades weave down roads and children gad about everywhere.
The Phi Phi Islands are just what you would expect from a tropical paradise. Being on an island, you can expect to see numerous water activities on offer, including: canoeing and kayaking, diving and snorkelling, swimming and sun bathing. There are also many adrenaline-filled activities on offer such as: rock climbing and cliff jumping. When you need a respite from all of the physical activity, you can watch the sun set, see a Thai boxing match, party at one of the many hotspots or haggle over prices with the shop keepers.

Phi Phi Island is accessible only by boat or ferry. These services depart daily from both Krabi town and Phuket. If you are going to be going to Phi Phi Island from Krabi, your best bet is to make your way to the jetty in central Krabi town located at the Chaofa Ship-berth, Khongkha Road, where you will be able to catch a ferry directly to Phi Phi Island itself. These ferries run twice daily. The trip takes about 2 hours from Krabi town to Phi Phi stopping at Ao Nang and/or Railei beach en-route.
In Thailand hours of work are 08.30 till 17.00 p.m. but most family stores are opened until 22.00. All shops on Phi Phi Island are open till 22.00 except the Dive shops that close at 21.00

This was my second visit and I believe it is a good value for the money. For as big of a resort as it is it still provides a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Good bed...
