Fishing is a favourite past time for the local children and it is certain that visiting children will enjoy fishing as well. They will also enjoy beach activities like building sand castles, swimming, chasing crabs and canoe trips. For the older kids, rock climbing, snorkelling and kayaking are activities that will definitely make them leave the video games in the hotel room.

Phi Phi Beaches
There are so many opportunities for the children to enjoy themselves on beach, from burying dad in the sand and making sandcastles to swimming and frolicking, that the kids are certain to be exhausted by days end.

Snorkelling
Snorkelling in Phi Phi is an adventure in itself. The island has one of the most abundant coral reef systems in the world and is a scenic treasure. Phi Phi Lei, Phi Phi Don and Bamboo Island are but a few locations in the area where you can find these natural wonders that are so plentiful.
There are fantastic opportunities to enjoy nature and participate in numerous outdoor activities in Phi Phi. From relaxing on the beach to action-packed cliff jumping, there is something for everyone on this beautiful tropical paradise.

Beach Fun
Phi Phi beach provides a great beach area at low tide for frisbee throwing (either on sand or in the water) or a game of football with the locals.
Canoeing
There are various establishments where you can hire canoes, either by hour or by day. A few charter companies in the area also offer canoeing expeditions along the coast or around the islands in the area.

Rock Climbing
Whether you are an expert or a novice, Phi Phi has some of the best places to climb. Even though Phi Phi is not as popular as the neighbouring Pailay Beach, its scenic beauty and bolted routes makes it a good contender.
Snorkelling, Scuba Diving and Fishing
Phi Phi has incredible diving spots just a short boat ride away or you can simply jump into the water with a pair of goggles and be amazed by the gorgeous sea life in the emerald waters below. On the other hand if you'd rather catch the fish, Phi Phi has a number of charter companies catering to this sport.
Phi Phi is a relaxed and mellow destination with a wonderful tropic beauty and equally wonderful food offerings. Thai food can be bought everywhere with just about every street on the island having at least one small eatery tucked in a dark corner somewhere. Phi Phi also has such a fantastic diverse selection of restaurants; with fresh seafood being the main attraction.

At the famous Hippies Bar and Restaurant, you can find delicious steaks, great hamburgers, fresh seafood as well as Thai cuisine on offer. If you are eating Thai food, one handy Thai word to remember (if you aren't particularly fond of hot spicy food), is "Mai Phet" (not hot), as Thai food can be extremely spicy.
If you are not the adventurous type when it comes to food, nearly all accommodation complexes have their own restaurants, most of which offer both Thai and western fare.

Shopping in Phi Phi for many is an exciting and pleasurable experience. Here you will not find high-end designer stores, you will however, find great souvenirs, exquisite silver jewellery, coloured gemstones such as rubies and sapphires and many talented local artists displaying their works.
Haggling is a fun and an expected part of the buying process in Thailand. Remember, that the price listed is only there for show and has no real meaning. There is always room for negotiation. The starting price can often come down to half or less, depending on your haggling skills and those of the vendor. All the time, remember to smile. This is a game, it should be fun. Don’t take it too seriously. The price agreed for the transaction is always a “win-win” price. Both sides benefit.
