Great location! Short 45 min drive from Phuket. The room was lovely with all of the amenities including a mosquito screen on the window, which meant that we were able to sleep without the air con. The only complaint was that the bed was a bit too hard for our taste. The outdoor bathroom was large and modern, with a rainshower shower head. The pool was definitely larger than a plunge pool and perfect for having a dip. The 43 inch TV with cable and DVD player was great - make sure to bring some DVDs to watch, as there is not much to do after dark. The view of the lake and the surrounding cliffs was stunning. Daytime was spent visiting the local waterfall (about a 40 min walk) and riding the complimentary bicycles on scenic jungle paths. The only real complaint I had was that the big, barn like restaurant was not very comfortable or cosy and the food quality was poor (at both dinner and breakfast). However, there was a kitchen in the villa with a hot plate - next time, I will plan to prepare simple meals there.
