room size, cleanliness, noise level ok but shower had very little power and more of a trickle of water. apart from that room was fine, although there was no 'do not disturb' sign.Restaurant breakfast selection very limited. reception staff great and very friendly. location good close to everything you need for an entertaining holiday.value for money not brilliant as you have to pay for compulsary Xmas and new year dinner and there are better places to spend these occasions than in the hotel.there is also a charge for bringing guests back to the hotel.

Swimming pool was fantastic. Very large and well-kept. Unused room furniture was stacked along the length of the hallway on my room's floor, creating an unsightly and decidedly low quality appearance. I felt like I was staying in a self-storage facility. The cleanliness of the bathroom left much to be desired, with soap scum lining the rim of the bathtub. This should be immediately rectified.Food in the restaurant was mediocre, and I was presented with the exact same breakfast options every day. Both the quality and variety of food offered should be improved.

Roaches in the bathroom/Broken Light Fixture/Unable to make direct local calls from room The hotel needs an overhaul; it is just old .The service was nothing special. The hotel is close to the beach, shopping, and Bar district.Breakfast was average. The occassional noisy neighbour (i.e. drunk). The only nice thing was the pool.As a cheap option.

Some of the the front desk staffs need to be trained more professional to deal with the guests. No smile and usually pull the long face.

Size and standard of room were OK, very good location close to Walking Street but quiet enough, good swimming pool. Very good value for money. Tip : don't use hotel service if you want to go to Koh Lan (4 hours in a ugly boat, one hour on the beach!) it's better to take high speed boats located on the beach...

the room was clean and the bathroom but the shower curtain was filthy i was in the catering trade all my working life and find this silly as you only need to wash once a month and no need to dry which spoils a excellant hotel

We chose this hotel because we have stayed before, and so familiar with the area. The location is good, as is the pool. However, the management/staff seem to have a "don't care if you come back" attitude. While it is cheap and adequate, it is all getting a bit stale. I doubt we will go again.

This hotel needs a paint inside & out. The breakfast could be better but the service is ok. Swimming pool is good. Staff is good to please. Over all it needs brightening up.

this hotel was awful for smokers. cigarette smoke could be smelt all over this hotel. we booked a no smoking room we was given a room that smokers had just left it was disgusting. we did get the room changed only to find the lights did not work that took 3 days to be put right. next the a /c was leaking water that was another 3 days by this time our holiday was nearly over the worst hotel we have ever stayed in in pattaya and we have stayed many times.

The location of the hotel is excellent, staff are quite good, this is the second time i have stopped here, i have noticed a rapid decline in the furnishings of the hotel, with a bit of a makeover this place would be fantastic, as it once was. For the price though you can moan too much! This place is only minuites by foot from all the shops, bars, taxis or whatever you are looking for on your stay to Pattaya!

Typical commercial hotel in need of a major refit. This is an old hotel which probably when first built was relatively of a good standard. The air-conditioning works satisfactorily providing it is left running continuously but when you hand your keys in when going out, the staff have the ability to switch it off from reception which they always do even if you ask them not to. Upon your return when collecting your room key, they switch it back on again. Unfortunately because of the age of the conditioning unit it takes many hours to bring the room back down to a comfortable temperature. The room furniture is very old and the lighting very poor, so ladies who require good light to apply make up before going out for the evening will be disappointed. There is no kettle or hot water for tea & coffee making facilities even though there is an older style urn in the room to boil water which does not work. The cleaners informed us these have never worked for many years.

The old Welcome Plaza is in a fantastic location near much of the action. There are so many restaurants and bars around that one doesn't worry about the limited facilities in the hotel. The rooms are clean but fairly basic. The swimming pool is big. I have to say that the hotel's incredibly good value does mean that it attracts some pretty rough guests.

Welcome Plaza was a good experience, the loaction was very ideal for hoilday makers who like the have a good view, both seaside as well as the busy Pattaya entertainment zone. My stay was very plesent and my wife really liked the room since it was spacious and very good view. The restaurents served good food with decent price. The location is excellent, since everything was walking distance to the entertainment zone "Walking Street" and the shopping areas. Would definetely stay again if re-visited Pattaya.

Hotel personnel very friendly, however Hotel in need of some cosmetic restoration, paint furnishings etc.; too many things not working such as lights in dangerous condition poor maintenance. Pool is clean and well maintained, Pool Bar requires upgrading, no gym etc. but general facilities are good. Rooms are well appointed and clean, public areas pleasant. On the main street centrally located but far enough from the noisey areas. I have no hesitation in re-booking the Hotel.
