Sunshine Hotel & Residents is a great choice if you want to be right in the action in Pattaya. All guest rooms feature double glazed windows and carpet help making it very quiet, but outside the action is jumping. The air conditioning is cool and refreshing, the bed is huge, the bathroom has all modern conveniences and the mini-bar is well stocked but not over priced. The pool downstairs is very inviting, and breakfast overlooking the pool is excellent, with plenty of choices including European options.

The hotel is excellent Value for Money. In midst of all the action of Pattaya, on the key Pattaya Beach road in Soi 8, the hotel is the best located for all the tourists.Lovely, amiable staff, good service, no noise, proper maintenance and little small but clean and perfect rooms were a few high points of the Hotel. A wonderful place to stay when you are on vacation. Economical and effective Hotel. I faced only one issue - WIFI connectivity in my floor was poor, inspite of the fact that I have bought the WIFI card separately, I could not use it in my room, I had to come in lobby most of the times.

maid service was very good , floor help was very good , I have bad Lungs and have trouble breathing and can not do stairs as it affects my breathing and a lot of the times the elevator did not work and I complained to the desk and was told that no compensation would be made . I was told the rooms were redone from when I was there 2 years ago and I moved to Eastiny hotel , but this time I paid for the month of Oct in advance and told I could leave but would not receive a refund . I will NEVER STAY AT A SUNSHINE HOTEL AGAIN .

I have always been please with this hotel having stayed some 16 times now. Always providing good service and usually obliging with special request for specific room number(not this time). One regret, the room only option, my normal chose was more expencive than inclucive of breakfast.

The hotel is in an excellent location on Soi 8 near to local bars and just 150m from the beach. We stayed in the Residences part of the hotel which is more modern than the original wing of the hotel. The room was of a good size and all the facilities worked as expected especially the air conditioning which if set to high gave an icy blast to the room after a few minutes! The buffet breakfast was more than acceptable with many local Asian and European dishes prepared and the staff worked hard to ensure all the various foods were replenished regularly. We used room service most nights and this too was of a good standard with the food being served hot within minutes of ordering. Overall, we'd recommend this hotel highly but for singles and couples only as Pattaya isn't really designed to accommodate families.

The hotel is rather run-down, with very small rooms and poor amenities. While it was very cheap, there are other hotels just as inexpensive with much better facilities.

Location is good if you are after night-time Pattaya entertainment. Hotel itself is way over priced. This is a 600-800 THB hotel in the 1500-2000THB range. way over priced. During the day cannot sleep due to construction noise. Until 4am in the morning you cannot sleep due to the sound systems of nearby bars. This hotel is not worth it, unless you are paying in the 600-800 THB range. Max.

Location is good. However, overall facilities including breakfast was ordinary. My room was in a bad condition. The bathroom facilities were mouldy & smells. Noise from the nearby construction site was annoying. Overall, not a good stay. This hotel needs significant improvement to attract loyal / repeat patrons.

The Sunshine Hotel was quite fine for my trip. The room was a nice size and was generally cleaned well (although this was inconsistent). The Residences wing was quiet enough. The breakfast could have been nicer - preferably a buffet. Good location, with plenty of dining and entertainment options within a short walk. For singles or open-minded couples this is a fine place to stay at the discounted price - for families there would certainly be more appropriate areas in the Pattaya area.

I had reserva6tion for the Residence wing but we arrived at 1800PM! Our room was not available so they put us in a 7th floor room with an extra twin bed! They called this a suite! We could not sleep because of the noise in these hotel rooms. You do not want to stay in this hotel unless you get a Residence wing room because of the noise in the hotel rooms. This was the 2nd time we arrived late and our residence room was given away!!!

Well. First of all, the staff followed me to my room, and would not leave until I tipped them for nothing. The sense I got from the staff and management was that they only wanted me there if I left them a good tip on top of their already overpriced stuff. The food was awful, the service was even more awful and basicly I hated it. I checked out after two night and the only thing they said as I left was: "Yes, you walk." They didn't even bother to call me a cab or even hold the freakin' door for me.

The best value for money hotel I have ever stayed in!!! but those prices were only applicable through hoteltravel.com. But as a whole had a great time staying in the hotel, everything was great. The hotel was located in the middle of all the action hence a great place to stay, the staff food was great and excellent security.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was great value for the money we spent. The location could not have been better right in the heart of Pattaya. The staff were friendly and very efficient and the rooms we stayed in, although a little small for triple's (3 beds), were very comfortable and funtional with great room service and house keeping. I loved the friendly, honest and always smiling staff as they made it a pleasure to stay at The Sunshine Hotel.

If you look for a decent accommodation at a fair price, this is a good deal. On a very busy holiday week-end when almost every place was full, this was quite a nice place to be, not too far from the beach. My room was opposite to the street side (very noisy due to the many beer bars around), so it was quiet enough for a good rest. An honest hotel, with 2 nice swimming pools. Not a place for business travellers, but very convenient for tourists. Many bars around the hotel, maybe not the best place to go with young children...

Overall a very good hotel and great location. My only complaint is that when I called front desk to confirm check-out time, they said it was 11.00am because they needed to clean the room for next guests. I did not complain at first, but then saw a sign that regular check-out was 12.00pm. I then called the front desk again and asked them how they can change the policy without prior notice. The person tried to defend her actions, but after starting to raise my voice she handed the phone to another person whom I argued my point again. This person then said I could check out at 12.00pm. I was a bit peeved at how they can even try to do that. Other than that, everything else was decent.

this is my second stay at the hotel .l like how close it is to everthing l like .the room l stayed in was nice in the new wing .l can say that the breakfast is not too good ,it should be a buffet and no a order .also shower area drain does not work too well ,on this time l found only one member of staff that was not to friendly .but l think overall the rest of the staff where great .and my room was keeped in fine form .so l will be back in feb next year .only little thing when l booked with you.s l booked the new wing .but when l arrived it was the old wing and told them to put me in the new wing ,it was done at a cost of two hundred bat a night .but you told me it would be the new wing .but l sent you three e mails that it would not be .so this is something you should look into with the hotel .thanks mark
