We booked a deluxe room and found it very small. It was near the street and you can hear the loud mucis of the pub next door in 2 A.M. After complaint, we changed to another room far from the pub. However, we found the water is extremely small that Is difficult for me to take a good shower. They do offer free shuttle bus as long as you have free time to wait 10 minutes in a not-so-clean street with a staff that doesn't speak any English and can't answer you how long you have to wait.

I would stay there again in a heartbeat. With a 24 hour shuttle service to the main street and a few blocks walk to the walking street made it very convenient for location. The pool atmosphere was tops. The staff was excellent. Food great. My first choice for Pattaya

I have stayed in the Mercure 5 times and love it, not the cheapest nor most expensive, last 3 times arrived at 9am, having e-mailed 2 weeks before they arranged early check in no problem, I also prefer a high floor to the rear of hotel overlooking pool, again with prior notice no problem. Its a fairly new hotel and is always spotless, staff cant do enough for you and food is very good. Nothing is perfect, the bathroom is on the small side and no bath just shower, but no problem for me. As the hotel is off the 2nd road they have a free 24hr tuk tuk service, however a new shopping complex just opened up (cant remember name) which is less than 1 minute walk from hotel with food, Mcdonalds, Starbucks, Deli etc, cinema, bowling alley and supermarket and direct access to 2nd road. I have been to Thailand 6 times, been all over the place, stayed in the Landmark, Marriot, Amari and others and prefer the Mercure to any I have stayed in, other hotels may be grander but value for money this is the place

I stayed at the Mercure for 2 nights. It was a nice place except that I found the rooms to be extremely small. The standard of the room however is great and it is in a very quiet area. The free shuttle to 2nd Road is a great when you need to get around the beach area. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Overall a great room in a great location with a free shuttle towards Walking Street, though not all the way to walking street which is ok. It's only a short walk after the shuttle stop. Rooms are big and clean with a nice balcony. It was frustrating that i had to pay 500baht guest fee whenver i wanted to bring a guest to my room. The 500 baht guest fee is not-negotiable!

The Mercure Hotel Pattaya was outstanding. The room was great, service first class and the venue facilities particularly the pool area were brilliant. I would recommend this hotel to anybody as an excellent value for money venue.

I think it is a good location if you are looking for some convenient and good price spot. It is not a quiet hotel given the fact that it takes plenty of tourist groups from HK and Korea thus you'll always find the lobby/cafe full of people. If you are looking for a real resort, this is not the one as the pool is too small, should be fun for the kids. Hotel service is excellent also on the security front. Best being its free shuttle service which makes it convenient and economical to go to town.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Thailand. Even the breakfast was good (unusual in Thailand). I go to Pattaya around 3 times a year, and will certainly use this one again. Don't be put off by complaints about the location, it's in a quiet area, and their free taxi service into the main part of the city takes about 2 minutes. I recommend you try this one

Extremely clean and staffs were very friendly. Value for money was excellent. The location was not perfect but they had free transportation to down town area.

The rooms fulfilled all needs. They were modern, clean and had everything we required. Ther rooms were not large however for the cost they were more than acceptable and we could not fault them in any way. Great Hotel and perfectly located. Close to the nightlife, yet far enough away to avoid the noise and hastles. The free shuttle into town was excellent and always available. Very clean and modern hotel with excellent facilities and the staff could not be friendlier. I cant wait to return and stay here again and would recommend it without reservation. Having shopped around this was excellent. We were overawed with the value for money factor.

Looks ok on the surface. Swimming pool good, but rooms small and not comfortable. Staff good. Location terrible but secure - they try by having tuk tuk to second road.

I booked this hotel because they advertised WiFi in the rooms. However when I checked in I was told that there was an additional charge to use the WiFi in the room. I had been led to believe that the use of the WiFi was included in the room charge, however it was not included. It is not actually WiFi, but it is high speed internet. The hotel provided me with a DSL cable modem which had to be attached to the hotel phone line. All cables were provided. However if you are expecting to get WiFi on a PDA and you do not have the proper connections you will not be able to get any internet service in the room.

The whole experience was an excellent one. Very friendly staff, very clean and well maintained and nice layout. It was far enough away from the centre to be quiet, but free transport was always available to take you to 2nd street in 2 minutes.
