Because of low season the breakfast was very simple. Only a few people were capable in comunicating in English, but nice view to the enviroment and perfect local bar at the other side of the street. Would go there again without doubt. Highlights on walking distance.

The room was clean and comfortable. The Rooks was a nice hotel in a quiet setting. The staff were friendly and the food was great. They have a nice swimming pool and lovely gardens. They had nice facilities, a nice, large dining room and breakfast was served on a large terrace overlooking the pool. The location isn't central but it's a short walk away from the "center" of town. It's nice and quiet. It was definitely the best bet in Mae Hong Son.
Thais celebrate Buddha’s birthday. Local Wats (Buddhist Temples) celebrate by holding candlelit processions. A tourist may take part in these parades and it can prove great fun.
