Rated #30 for all Krabi hotels
Although it's starting to show its age just a little (the interior design, furnishings and room amenities are not quite "up to the minute"), this hotel has lots of other good features to make up for that. In particular, the food is great across the board (especially the amazing breakfast buffet) and the service is truly exceptional (staff always anticipating needs, remembering little details and doing it all with a smile). It's a little way out of Ao Nang, but the hotel offers a nightly shuttle bus for only 200THB per person return (cheap) if you want to check out the shops, restaurants and ...

We liked very much the hotel and the beach.
It is very quiet and you have good restaurants nearby.

Thsi location is very remote, especially during low season, so I'm giving it a low score there. The beach is fine, but only go in during high tide and wear swimming shoes due ot the rocky bottom. The food is overpriced, go elsewhere. The breakfast is very good and includes everything you might want. The room was nice, but there is no need to pay for anthing above a superior room. Even superior rooms can have ocean view. Ocean view is actually higher up and won't have a view due to the trees. This resort has too much lawn - a real waste. There are also a lot of pine trees that drop very small, but sharp pine cones everywhere, making shoes necessary everywhere.

For this almost weeklong celebration, Chinese Buddhists eat only vegetarian food. There are numerous ceremonies and processions, which are both interesting and colourful. The food vegetarian sold in street stalls is well worth sampling. Self-mortification is practiced to prove strength and purity. Participants parade through the streets with spears and the like pierced through their skin cheeks and mouth. Feats are performed such as walking on hot coals, climbing bladed ladders and bathing in hot oil.
Thais nationwide remember one of their greatest monarchs, responsible for abolishing slavery and modernising Thailand.
In honour of His Majesty the King's birthday, December 5 is national father's day and a time of majestic celebrations.
