I definitely would recommend the Tipa Resort! It's setting is away from the busy street, yet close to the beach. Large bedroom, bath OK, lighting fine, air con wonderful. Clean! The bungalows have a jungle feeling to them as they are set up in the trees. However, we were there end of March and no mosquitos! The staff was extremely accommodating! Their knowledge of English was basic, but they made up for it with smiles and helpfulness. We loved it and would stay there again in a heartbeat! ...

Bearing in mind the price,and the fact that our stay was in low season, this was an acceptable short break. Breakfasts were pretty awful, room cleanliness left something to be desired, and the mini TV provided very poor reception. We also suffered some power cuts, leaving us in total darkness until we asked for a candle ! Notwithstanding, all the staff were supremely helpful & cheerful, and we parted on good terms. Whilst we were there, we were warned of an imminent Tsunami drill, regrettably, however, we saw & heard nothing !

The room itself is value-for-money. However, no double bed is provided in the bungalow room. Only two adjacent single beds together as a double bed. For the price, it is obviously a good choice and I will return to this resort later if I visit Krabi again.
