we stayed here in delux room 9th may 07, for 5 nights, the room was very clean & comfortable being on the ground floor looking onto the very nice pool, with a patio door onto a timber decked veranda & 5 steps away from the pool, i'm not sure if this would be a good room location if the hotel was very busy because of poss noise, but for us it was excellent & quiet, good on site security, efficient air con (& quiet) dvd player, although don't understand the "serving hatch" from bathroom onto bedroom, but useful for watching tv if you got delhi-belly :-). very good location for shops & eating. we...

First day we wern't allowed to check in at the hotel. They claimed to have problem with air conditioner - which proved to be a lie, they had overbooked - and we were placed at an other hotel which they promised had the same standard - Not true at all!!! They compensated us with a dinner cupong but the service was a DISASTER. It took them over an hour before they came with the starters and then an other hour before they came with the main course. The hotel had a great massage staff and the standard was good.

This hotel I believe needs a lot of attention. Given it is undergoing renovations, one would expect other things to be above average. No bell boy on arrival, no clean towels daily, breakfast almost inedible, staff inconsiderate and unreliable.

Out of the 4 rooms that were booked, deposit safes of 2 rooms were not working and that the bath tub of 1 room was clogged. In addition, hotel staffs were rushing for check out.

a double/queen/king bed was requested. the room had 2 twin beds separated by a night table. when we told the person escorting us to the room and asked for another room, he said "we could push the beds together" and then he immediately left. it was late at night and we were only thee for one night and my girlfriend didn't want to go back to the front desk. so while she was in the toilet, i disconeced all their electrical plugs from the nightstand and did push the beds together. the rest of the staff was very nice, but this person was a jerk with his attitude.

It is well kept and clean. Just that it lacks the luxurious feel with their use of ceramic floor tiles. It is definitely a value for money hotel. The room rates and food was definitely lower than we expected and yet, there was quality in it. If you are looking for a shopping experience, the hotel is a good bet. Unfortunately, the service quality leaves much to be desired. The various encounters with the reception, restuarant staff can best be described as sullen and cold. Be prepared to be glared at and receive resentful and unsmiling looks. But there are some who are quite friendly - it depends on their moods. Unfortunately, the beach was way below expectations. The sand was rough and filled with broken shells - not one for children to play sand in. But it is close to the take off point for long tail boat rental to the islands. If you want a nice beach, Railey Beach would have been better. Whole of Ao Nang is not suitable for beach activities.

Definitely value for money, very nice hotel with a beautiful free form pool. Very close to shops so it's just a 2-3 mins walk. The view from the hotel is simply gorgeous. Will stay there again. Though one might want to stay on the lower floors as the 3rd floor is open air, so we had some difficulty when it was raining. Only downside, is perhaps due to the popularity of the hotel, it was quite hard to find staff to clear plates and refill coffee during breakfast. The checkout staff could have been a little more speedy. We had to wait quite a while for them to call housekeeping to check the rooms.

I saw the photograph of the hotel room and had requested for a double-bed room as it looked like it had 2 large beds. However, the beds turned out to be 2 single beds which was a little disappointing. We had breakfast at the hotel and once for dinner. Breakfast was good with quite a good spread. Service and food was very good for dinner. Overall, I would rate the hotel as an excellent choice for good location, cleanliness and friendly service. There were plenty of restaurants, shopping, sightseeing and taxi services around the area so we were not confined to relying on the hotel for these services.

The hotel facilities were great and we were pleased with the location. There are not a lot of good restaurants unless you like the "hole in the wall" type with poor service. We were there with 3 other families and many dealt with allergy problems of one kind or another. The best aspect of this hotel is the facilities. The two pools were great and great for kids. It is in a quiet and beautiful location. The worst aspect was the hotel reception and concierge staff. They were the least helpful and least friendly we have seen in Thailand. Also, one of the families with us who lived for a few years recently in Thailand remarked that they had not seen such unfriendly and unhelpful Thai staff as those at the reception desk and concierge.

Great hotel and friendly staff. Our Deluxe room can walk through the room balcony to balcony and nice pool. In front of the ocean and not to far from shopping area. Good food breakfast with a lot of choice and good lunch. We left our son with babysitter, who is one of staff, all day, when we got back to the room he was sleeping already. We would like to go back. Not too expensive but great value.
