The rooms were beautiful and clean, as well as the hotel. The garden and the beach of the hotel were hit by the tsunami but cleaned up as far as possible. The location of the hotel is not a secure area but inside the rooms there's understandable information and outside the hotel there are road-signs where to go to in case of trouble.
We really liked our stay at the Merlin, we can recommend it....
