We travelled from Hua Hin and we were surprised to find it was about 70 klms out of Kanchanaburi. Our driver had trouble finding it. It is a short long tail boat ride which is free. The hotel management prefer to not to have things booked to your room. They prefer to deal in cash. You need to organise transport to get to an ATM but sometimes it does not work. It does pose a problem because this hotel does not accept credit cards. It is well worth the trip. It is luxury in the jungle. You do feel you have escaped from it all! Good food and service. Would definitely go again. ...

1.Good to see some kinds of special fruits, such as jacket fruit, Tamarind,...
2.A sign around swimming pool seemed to indicate its depth of 0.8 Meter, but it was said the actual Max depth is 1.8 Meter.
3. Make sure to prepare sufficient cash for staying here, and not to lose them, otherwise you will have to resolve a big trouble resulting from the fact that every payment here must be made by cash only.
4.River scenery is as pretty (particularly early in the morning) as those in the other resorts. beside the river.

Our driver had difficulty finding the hotel, location was a further one hour's drive from the town.We were frightened to use the river boat as we had a great deal of luggage. So our driver had to communicate with hotel management on how to get to hotel using alternative road route which cost us a further one hour's drive to get to the hotel reception.
Had to use the hotel car service to organise our own tour because the hotel organised tours were too expensive. For the two days there, the charge for the use of the hotel car cost us $7000 bahts. Everything had to be in cash since hotel does not accept credit cards which is absurd. Getting to an ATM just to withdraw cash is another time wasting exercise
We feel hotel could do with a renovation as things look rather old. Room decor and facilities is of poor quality, TV channels only in Thai language. The only bright side to this hotel is the friendliness of the staff and the food is also excellent. We ordered local Thai dishes and the food was delicious. Have to admit, the hotel looks terrific during the night when the lanterns light up the place. What a sight.

Would be nice to put in the description that hotel is to be reached by boat (provided by hotel) only (no problem, pleasant surprise for me but unfortunate for less mobile, older people) and that no other facilities are close (ATM, shops etc). However pretty much is provided by hotel, good food, mon dancing, spa etc etc. More than worth the money, you feel like staying in the jungle ..... in a luxurious way! Only the guy at the poolbar was very slow .... but fruitpunches worth waiting for!
