River Kwai Jungle Rafts resort is far from the 'maddening crowd' set in genuine jungle and floats on the famed River Kwai. A piece of paradise, this floatel moored along the historical river of Kanchanaburi offers a unique opportunity to step out of your everyday world into the harmony of nature.

Rated #2 for all Kanchanaburi hotels
What can i say?!-the highlight hotel on our trip- very very special and unique! the only way to get to this hotel is by long tail boat- a 15 minutes ride. A very pleasant welcoming hotel, the staff (local tribe) will do everything to make your stay a good one.
2 major things you have to know- no electricity (only lamps) and you need to order a boat that will pick you up from the Resotel pier.each ride (back and forth) costs 700 bahts and it is not included in room rate!
There is actually nothing to DO on the raft, we stayed there 2 nights only for dinner-sleep-breakfast and traveled during...

FACTS - 4 rooms per raft, only 2 hammocks per raft. Cold showers, no fan, no flush toilet but has mosquito net.
Average food.
OPINION - I would stay here again, extremely peaceful and relaxing. Great for a weekend getaway. Very quiet in daytime as seems to be full with pacakge tours so they leave after breakfast and new guests dont arrive till 4pm ish so you get the whole day on the rafts almost exclusively to yourself.

There is actually nothing to DO on the raft, we stayed there 2 nights only for dinner-sleep-breakfast and traveled during the day around the Kwai area.

This was the highlight of our holiday but it is just a pity that we only spent one night there. While the facilities may be very basic it is the experience that you will remember. The staff were more than helpful and were able to help with our tour plans for the next day. It will make you realise how lucky you are. The only criticism would be of the map that is used by HotelTravel to show the hotels location in relation to Kanchanaburi. The hotel is actually located 60 kms. by road and then a 30 minute river boat ride away from the town but it was still worth the journey to get there.

This is not your usuual hotel. Set on the River it is accessible only by a 40 minute longtail boat ride. There is no electricity and rooms are fairly basic BUT for tranquility and the most idyllic setting it can't be beaten. Wonderful food served by friendly and helpful staff, hammocks to relax in on your veranda...we wished we had stayed longer. If you are going to kanchanaburi or erewan, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The highlight of our tour of Thailand.
